Another problem with this postponement is that the funeral of former DC and lb's coach for the Cru Corky Nelson is scheduled for 3pm tomorrow in Temple. Corky had an illustrious career as a high school coach in Texas (he coached Earl Campbell), was an assistant at Baylor University and was head coach at North Texas. My son loved him dearly and I respected him immensely.  Not sure how all this will shake out.  I know all the UMHB coaches planned on being at his funeral.

Please keep his family in your prayers as well.
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Coach Nelson also actually coached at Seguin High,  the same town where TLU is located. There was talk of moving the game up to 10 but it just would have been unfair to the kids with such a long day today and early wake up call tomorrow.

Thank goodness they finally called it...now I can concentrate on finishing my sermon for tomorrow morning!
I worked on mine in a coffee shop in Belton during the lightening delay

Sucko. Best case for UMHB. I really think they underestimated TLU today.  With tonight's scare,  will they come out more focused tomorrow?  Weather should be ideal so you would think that opens up the one on one's on the corners for them too. Momentum could be a key with TLU posed to score.  I would think a much better fan presence tomorrow.  With a good crowd and pent up anxiety from sitting around all day by the players, a TLU score or a UMHB stop on the resumption of today's drive could really set either team up to take advantage of lady Mo.

Gotta hand it to Coach Padron, the strat they are playing is pretty brilliant, more like a chess match, and a heart break from the picsix called back...I think things will be very interesting today to see who's discipline will hold out, one lapse and it can break for either side.

this will be very interesting to watch today.  uncharted territory for both teams coaches and players.  TLU has a chance to take the lead as the game restarts and that could be a huge benefit.  Also the time left is only half the second quarter so if they can get a stop against UMHB the first touch they get and this is a game.  I would expect both teams to change game plans since neither team seemed to be able to stop the other's offense.  how will the players respond?  that is a long day to be sitting around doing nothing and then to have to get sleep and get up to get ready to play again.  wesley was in a similar situation with a game delay several years ago when the officials were not scheduled and the game was delayed for 4 or 5 hours waiting for officials to get there.  it was against montclair st and the game was a mess with montclair winning the game with a late TD and interception at the goal line to seal the win.  neither team played well.  good luck to both teams today.

The weirdest stat is that UMHB's Offense has barely even been in the game.Coach George pointed out the Duane Thompson hasn't even touched the ball yet...truly Alice in wonderland territory here...

Gosh. What a beautiful day out.  Not a cloud in the sky.  Headed to Belton right now for breakfast and will be there at 10:00 to see if Coach Fred wants to stay in game day routine with the walk-through at the SUB.  Hope for a big turnout.  Third time is a charm.  The CRU are going to make a statement on defense early and take control of the momentum.  Go CRU.

What an usual circumstance.  Where did the TLU players stay last night?

TLU with 2 missed field goals.  That will almost certainly hurt them later.  Cru get the ball to start the half.  That will be a hugh set of downs in this game.  TLU looks like they can move the ball, but you have to score to win.

CruFrenzy

WOW. Huge missed feild goals for TLU and a good defensive showing for the Cru for the most part!

UMHB needs to get serious and start playing some football. TLU means business.

There are probably a lot of Linfield Wildcats (and fans...like me) with the Internet Feed of this game hooked up their TV's this morning. Must say that the partial game results from yesterday are surprising to this fan as is the balance of the first half played this morning. Many CRU fans likely feel the same way...if not some of the TLU fans.

Those two missed field goals today are likely to hurt and may determine the outcome of the game. I have been looking forward to seeing the CRU stadium next Saturday, but right now I'm not sure if I will have the chance.

Good football game.  TLU came to play.  They are able to move the ball.  Barolle is just crazy fast and elusive.  The CRU oline is struggling with the pressure.  TLU has every chance to win this game.  The punt return may be the difference.  Props to the TLU staff and players for coming up with and executing a great game plan so far.

The craziest stat of this game for me is that UMHB hasn't run 40 plays, and probably won't by the end of this game.
