UMHBs defense deserves a long nap after that game
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Props to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor for persevering through all the delays.

Now comes the fun.

Hopefully, the defense gets some rest. They've been on the field for over 200 plays in the last 2 games. Apparently playing D at UMHB is like marathon running

I missed the continuation of the game today.  I was really hoping to make it out there, but too many other commitments on a Sunday morning.  I only just got back home in time to listen to the last couple of minutes of the game.  I won't comment on any specifics until I watch/read the highlights and stats, but I'm obviously glad the Cru came out with the W.  Hats off to TLU for what appears to be a close-fought battle.  I'm sure this will make next year's match-up all the more intense.

Time to prepare for Linfield.

Congrats to UMHB on the win. See you guys next week. Hoping for a great game with no injuries to either team.

TLU had a great game plan but just fell short on execution----2 missed FGs (at least one of them should have been made, IMO), a few turnovers, giving up the punt return for a TD....and missing some open WRs (at least one of those would have gone for 6).....but they successfully kept the MHB offense off the field for most of the game.  Next week should be a good game---hoping the Cats can keep up their focus and play to their ability.
Go Cats!

Haha.  Looking forward to meeting some Linfield fans next week.  Hope to have a nice crowd despite the holiday week/weekend.  I'll definitely be there.

I had to leave to get back to Central Louisiana and thus listened to the game via my smart phone. The radio announcers, and now others, have indicated the officiating lacked a lot to be desired. The announcers said the crew was from the SCAC, TLU's conference, and they are the same team that officiated the first UMHB vs TLU game. Am I the only one to find that odd?

UMHB defense needs some work to be ready for Linfield.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and guess you were listening to the UMHB feed?

Kelly Boggs

Regardless of the feed, it's seems odd to me that an officiating crew from either conference would be used in the playoffs. I would feel the same way if a crew from the ASC officiated this weekend's game.

Not a good two days for the Cru. A wild weekend turned into an amazing ending. I don't care if the crew was from the SCAC, UMHB got their tail handed to them by the OLine and Barrolle. I've never seen a team run on UMHB like that. Has got to be demoralizing for the team, and hopefully that will be a burr in their side this week as they prepare for Linfield.

Offensively we looked pretty good. TLU had a great game plan and stuck to it. We definitely took advantage of our opportunities.

I'm excited for the week ahead, but if we play like that against Linfield, it'll be goodnight sweetheart early.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Probably money here. Not a lot of crews in that part of the country and clearly the NCAA isn't paying to fly officials either.

Definitely not the best game for The CRU defense and, as a result, the closest first round game UMHB has had in a long time. Hats of to TLU for a tough game.
