GillCJ1, please join us on the basketball and baseball boards as well.

Thanks.  I'll probably post from time to time on those other boards.  My interests are really centered around football, soccer and golf.

Thanks for the info, Chad. I look forward to be able to be present for the coach's show.

I know this is not UMHB materiel but here is the press conference for Coach Leopold from UW-Whitewater I like the guy, came off as very humble and to me anyway pretty well grounded. Anyway, in case anyone wanted to watch. I found the questions interesting because they asked about recruiting. To me, he was able to recruit to Whitewater's program without scholarship money behind it and that should be the answer (at least to me) that caps it, if you can draw by the work you and your coaching staff have done so much more can you draw with the ability to judge and select players by the work your can produce. I wish them well

That's great! I went to the coach's show last year at Schoepfs, and you could hear them talking. At the BSUB, it is very difficult to hear them. They need to have speakers that project the show into the BSUB much like I inagine ESPN does for their live radio broadcasts. I found myself holding my phone to my ear and listening to KTEM online. Now I Tweet questions and follow from home.

Congrats to Coach Pete Fredenburg for being named AFCA Region III Coach of the Year!  This is the 3rd straight season and 8th overall selection for Coach Pete.  He is 4th on the all-time list behind Larry Kehres (Mount Union), Joe Paterno (needs no introduction), and Danny Hale (West Chester/Bloomsburg State).

He also won ASC COY honors for the 9th time in his career.  Thanks for being a great coach and leader of young men!

The fact that UMHB's OLine is scarcely represented epitomizes the issues we had on O. Congrats to everyone!

I'm still numb over the fact that UMHB is not in the semis.......   :-\

Wesley College Football.... A Winning Tradition not to be soon forgotten!

You and pretty much everyone on this board, Teamski.   :'(  Oh well.  No use complaining about it.  What's done is done.  All the Cru can do is address the areas of need and give it another try next season.

Good luck to Wesley in the semis!  Hope y'all make it to the Stagg.

Yes, spot on Gill. I'm liking a Wesley- Linfield matchup...Of course frosty beverages and wings covered in sauce requiring fire retardant napkins are in order to watch the games. It would be great to have the Cru in this but it just wasn't to be.

Well, after looking at the two games this last weekend, UMHB has a long way to go. As good as we've been, as GREAT as we've been, we have a long row to hoe, and I wonder if it can be done. I hope it can, I believe, somewhere, that it can, but seeing those scores and the way the games were won, I don't know.

I believe that one of the hidden issues I've seen is heart. Just being around campus and hearing a handful of players talk about not wanting to be in the TLU game because of how crazy it was, guys pawning their rings for money, and guys in the weight room side shuffling some of the coaches as they have come through the building when asked about working out, and not to mention losing two defensive starters in two playoff losses due to team rules is CRAZY! I know this isn't all of the players, but to see the veins of a disheartened attitude running through a great program scares me, and I wonder who the vocal leaders are? Do they see these things, do they lead off season workouts, are they striving to be a UWW or UMU? I'm sure there are some, but for this team to get to another, win one, or have a streak like these two teams, the culture will have to change.

I hope they watched the UMU game or UWW game this weekend and will watch the Stagg this weekend because something needs to change, and I hope their eyes are opened to the needs that we have.

Respectfully,

"Long row to hoe?"  A FG loss to Linfield which was driving for the tying score against UWW?

Why, Darrell Royal could not match that understatement!   LOL

If UWW wins it all, I project that UMHB will be ranked no lower than 6th in the country, and maybe 4th.

UWW, UMU, Linfield, Wartburg, Wesley (with a big question mark coming out of the "northeast" bracket)...
Anyone else?
