Cru holds steady at #3 in this week's final regional ranking. Good sign from the committee. Looks like a win and they are in against HSU... As long as they don't stumble either.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I like this week's Regional Rankings.  I gotta check out the SAA tie-breaker to see how Hendrix earns the Pool A bid. In that case, Hendrix could come to UMHB (if the CRU take care of business). HSU could host a fly-in (or even a TLU).  This would postpone the potential matchup to the second round.

TLU isn't getting in without calamity.  If I'm counting correctly there's the HSU/UMHB Pool B leftover, Guilford, and Moravian all in front of TLU.  Fourth in the Pool C line in your own region is a really bad position.

LC is pretty beat up and battered, it's been a tough year for them. I think HSU should deliver on their part. Not dissing LC, it's just been a very loonngg year for them and their roster. But who knows.

Coach is stepping up his Twitter game.  He sent this out today:

Stepped up his Twitter game and called on the fans in last nights radio show. Multiple times he talked about how great it would be for the fans to show up in mass on Saturday and that they should because this is one of the biggest ASC games that Crusader Stadium has ever had.

Good.  It's Homecoming weekend, so the incentive is already there for fans to show up.  Big conference game with playoff implications is just icing on the cake.

Hendrix would be the only team Huntingdon could play without a flight. The committee would leap at having a single flight first round and still pair the TX teams and Huntingdon/Hendrix. If the SAA puts Berry, Hendrix, or Centre into the field, they pretty much have to face Huntingdon. I don't know if anyone else is in play for the SAA tie break. Huntingdon can't get to W&L, though they could host/travel to Guilford.

Stir the hype pot, but this is a good interview with Coach Eergle concerning the Upcoming game this Saturday. Just in case anyone wanted to check it out.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UFriURzNww&feature=youtu.be

Lets see if The Cru fans can have the ref call this on them! I'm willing to bet that Coach Fredenburg would be okay having the yellow flag thrown for this!

Moravian plays Muhlenberg and Guilford plays Emory and Henry.  I don't believe either one of those games is a "gimmie", especially Muhlenberg.  If both Moravian and Guilford get knocked off I would think TLU would advance their chances pretty dramatically.  It would help also of Whitworth would happen to fall, but that one is less likely to happen.  Moravian and Guilford are two very good teams and I would expect them to win, but you never know what could happen.

That's only the South region calamity.  Based on what I'm looking at right now, I think TLU also needs multiple of the following:
Salisbury losing
Ohio Northern losing
St. John's losing
Whitewater losing
Whitworth inexplicably staying ranked ahead of Platteville
Cortland State losing

I think half of that needs to happen.  Plus Moravian and Guilford losing.

I agree for the most part.  Salisbury plays Frostburg (not a sure win); Ohio Northern has 2 losses and I would think TLU would bump ahead of them w/ a win and Moravian and Guilford loss; St. John's will win; and I think a Cortland State win means Alfred would be the C candidate and I think TLU trumps them.  It's a relative long shot for sure, but I think it is very possible for half of those things to happen.

wally_wabash

Don't sleep on Alfred.  They have a very strong profile and I think the dominoes fall perfectly for them.  It would definitely be best for TLU if Alfred won the Empire 8.

+1, Wally. TLU sitting at the table would have to go thru a bunch of rounds.
