I'm upset that I missed BOTH games this season.  The regular season tilt will be at the Cruthedral next year, so hopefully I'm there for that one.

Good season, Cowboys.  It's a shame this had to be a first round game.

Yeah the feed is horrendous but it is all there was. no sound but they have had near no sound all season which is why I asked during the week. I pulled up jon and coach via audio and watched the well, somewhat of a feed. It was really off on syching, ten minutes after the game was over they were still on the last drive.

Second half was ours outright, now on to Huntingdon...
My feed off the website at D3football.com was very good. I thought the HSU broadcast team did a very good job.

I believe that that was Pickett who was doing the play-by-play. He is enjoyable to hear.

Very proud of the ugly, gut check of a win. Was in class all afternoon, so I didn't see the second half. What was the difference? Did Jackson QB the whole second? How did UMHB begin to handle the DLine of HSU? That final drive before half time was when it started, but I couldn't really see the details in the trenches.

I still feel as though our O is predictable at times. We need more variation.

Glad to see the D get some sacks. I know the wind was helpful in holding down Ramos, but the coverage played a pet as well. Great adjustment!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Congratulations to UMHB!  Initial thoughts, still processing. It was not a pretty game by either team, but you guys were able to take advantage of our mistakes more than we did yours.  I posted earlier in the week that special teams would be huge.  That was about as bad of a series of special teams events in the second half that I have ever seen.  The muffed punt that ended in UMHB getting the ball inside the five followed by a punt that we field at the five for no gain and then another punt we field at the two (gotta let it go to endzone).  It put our offense in bad field position and resulted in the pick for a TD, credit to cru D for causing the hurried throw on the pick six. Then we just watch the kick off hit the ground and UMHB got it back.  UMHB did great at neutralizing Ramos and our Qb just could not connect with anyone else, in part to the Cru pressure.  Good luck next week to the Crunation, will be rooting for you from Abilene (from my recliner).

I am surprised to read that. It seems that UMHB struggled with fumbles and such in the first while HSU did so in the second.

Thanks for the info, and congrats on a great season!

Ya not pretty by either team, but UMHB capitalized and showed why they have a great program. Can't make that many mistakes against bad teams much less really good ones.

We certainly survived some scares in the first half of our own. I have a lot of respect for HSU. Not only have they had a great history, but my cousin played for them back in the 90's. Glad they are back to prominence. They deserve it.

Thanks Ralph. We heard lots of good things about the broadcast. I think DFWCrufan must have had a bad connection or something. We spent the extra money for upgraded quality and had over 3100 unique connections to the broadcast. I was watching it as I could during the game and never saw any lag or buffer. I have watched some of the replay and it looked great for what it is, a one camera set up outside with a 30 MPH wind.

I guess I drew the bad connection. I had about six occasions where I had to reconnect to the HSU feed. The volume was about a one on a scale of 10. There were countless times that the picture just froze and when it was running you would see the players getting off the pile missing the play. It was hard to follow the game, but that was all there was to watch, so it is what it is.

were you at the game?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

HSUSID yeah possibly, I've tried watching your feed during the season as well and had the same result, there was no or very very faint sound and the screen would freeze from time to time. but that is this thing called the internet right, we want it to be perfect but sometimes things just don't go our way. Reason I was kinda bummed was I like your broadcast guys as well and like to from time to time bounce from one broadcast to another, gives a very interesting contrast of the game at hand.

For me the game was more as I hoped than expected. The start had me holding some breaths on some of the plays, HSU drove, the Cru drove then HSU drove, made the first half tight to settle down. Not until the second could you kinda relax, but hey that is the kind of game you want huh...

Also in closing, from my point of view, HSU should have had the ASC crown, ya'll got a bad pile of mud for that loss to ETBU. (I'd use another term but we'll keep it rated G)

Well it's on to Huntingdon
