News article says it may be ACL. Probably won't know until game day. May hear on the radio show tomorrow.

Gagliardi Trophy finalists have been unveiled.  The ASC is represented by Jessie Ramos of HSU.  So, if you're inclined to vote, follow the link:

Everyone go vote for Ramos representing the ASC!

On another note I wanted to congratulate HSU on their season and I know it will be a battle every year.

Had a chance to talk to Jordan Neal's dad at the game Sat. Super nice guy. I know he was looking forward to the possibility of Jordan coming back home with Hendrix to coach in the 2nd round if everything would have worked out.

Jordan coming home would have been the positive for me if umhb had lost and Hendrix had won. I haven't seen him in a few years. its always good to catch up and congratulate friends on a job well done.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Can't say that I'm really liking the weather forecast for Belton on Saturday right now - Rain. High near 46. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Yuck.

Ron Boerger

Could be pretty heavy rain, too, as there's a tropical system in the eastern Pacific that is currently forecast to send a great deal of moisture into Texas.

If that comes true it will be almost a mirror image of the weather had back in 2007 for the NC Wesleyan game. The high that day was 44 and we had 1.18 inches of rain with a pretty strong wind. It was even worse for the Battling Bishops who got beat 64-0 and they didn't bring any rain gear so make sure to tell your boys to pack accordingly.

Same.  I hate to see weather like this in a playoff game.  Attendance on holiday weeks is already lower than usual, and I'm afraid the weather will just add to it.  Could be a sparse stadium come Saturday.   :(  My hats off to those who make the trip from AL.  I hope they are still able to enjoy themselves, despite the playing conditions.

I think we had similar conditions in one of the playoff games 2 years ago, too.  Maybe St. John Fisher in the third round?  It was nasty.  Cold, rain, windy.

That's downright pleasant compared to what I sat through at Wabash on Saturday.  :)

Those are not football conditions in Texas, they are emergency ones haha

Ron Boerger

This story talks about the tropical storm's impact on weather in central TX (and beyond).   The heaviest band is up around Dallas but if things shift a bit, it could be REAL ugly on Saturday.

Safe travels to all and a safe game to the players.
