A rundown by the Alabama paper that covers Huntingdon. Includes some short video interviews also.

Here is a second one about dealing with the holiday week for the first time.

A third one, here, is from the Temple Telegram in which the coach of Huntingdon is interviewed.

FYI

Rain chances during tomorrow's game via Weather Underground (as of Friday, 12:05 p.m.):
Noon   = 47%
1 p.m. = 57%
2 p.m. = 48%
3 p.m. = 56%

Temps expected to be in lower to mid 40s with a North/Northwest wind at 10-13 mph.

It also seems as if the cold-front came through a little earlier than expected. It is currently 49 degrees with a light rain.

Go CRU, leave no doubt!

Does anyone know the rules for noise makers during the playoffs? I know that air horns are not allowed, but I remember seeing and hearing cowbells and those slap sticks. From what I can find on the NCAA site is that it's up to the referee, but looking further into it it seems to conflict itself.

Hey Cru fans good luck tomorrow.  Is the Dead Fish Grill still open at Belton Lake?  I used to love go to that place when i was in Temple for business.

It is. Good place to get some food. We also have Mexican, Chinese, and Thai along with the usual burgers, pizza, and BBQ.

This is all I could find.

Thanks Chad!

So, the NCAA Division III Football Site Representative2015-16 Manual states: The NCAA Site Representative shall listen and watch crowd for inappropriate noisemakers and/or signage. Have security remove them if necessary.

I guess I'll just bring "Crubella" and hope that there are other cattle bells and other noise makers in the stands and hope the Site Representative doesn't feel we're making too much noise. After all, what is the sense of having home field advantage if you can't support your team?

as I understand it there are no artificial noise makers allowed. usually have signs posted
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I also understand that game sites are supposed to be neutral as well. You'll see no commercials supporting the Cru. I may be wrong, but perhaps Pat, Keith, Ryan, or one of the other gurus can confirm this.

Looks like the bulk of the rain pushed through ahead of schedule ... cold, windy and damp beats what we saw TCU and Baylor fight through last night.   Good luck to both teams today.

I believe u are correct I know our stadium announcer at HSU and he mentioned that in the game against the CRU he had to just call it and sound unbiased per NCAA.

Go get em Cru, good luck.

umhbalum

We need Anderson to step up here and lead the team down and put points on the board. Looks nasty in Belton but the Cru need to put a good drive together here

umhbalum

Anderson stepped up like we needed and made some good throws and then finished with a long TD run to put us up 36 - 23 with 10:07 left in the game
