Well, it's a bye week for most of the ASC.  How are y'all planning on spending your weekend?  Any games you plan to stream?  There are some interesting regional and national games to keep an eye on.  TLU at HSU, Trinity at Chapman, Morningside at UWW, Tommies at Johnnies... just to name a few.

TLU/HSU for sure.  Can the Bulldogs right the ship in a must win game for them, for pride, for any possibility at a post season birth?  Can HSU match the output by The Cru? With HSU coming to Belton this year, they need to win this one to keep their playoff dreams alive, then should we win out, would they come here in the first or might we get Trinity? All possibilities.

Tommy/Johnnie: This one is intriguing just because of the history

Hendrix/Millsaps is a big game for South Seeding.

Trinity plays Chapman: Chapman played Linfield.  If Trinity wins out, we could end up playing them in the playoffs. We'll see.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

As mentioned on the last page by wally_wabash, TLU is out.  We've never seen a 3-loss team make the postseason as an at-large.  And since the SCAC does not have an AQ... well, there it is.  Still, I agree with you that this is a very important game for the South region.  I still think HSU wins, though.

Hmm...interesting.  Pool B is out for Trinity as I'll go ahead and assume that that bid will go to the UMHB/H-SU winner.  Pool C for Trinity...maybe.  This is uncharted territory.  How is the regional committee going to treat Trinity and that double round robin schedule?  I don't know how you evaluate that.  Unless Millsaps really turns it on in SAA play, that result is a really bad look.  9-1 Trinity would definitely make for an interesting conversation topic before selection Sunday.

To the Cru fans:
I meant to post this earlier in the week.
Congrats on a great victory and performance Saturday evening (and excellent video).
And, thank you for Jerrell Freeman. If you had a chance to watch MNF, Jerrell was about the only bright spot for our struggling Bears.
He really played well.

I have a friend who's a UMHB alum and a big Bears fan.  He was ecstatic when Jerrell left Indy.  Hope #50 continues to play well.

Hooyah Cowboys

Big week for the Cowboys! I believe the 0-3 record of TLU can be deceiving and we have to be very careful not to overlook the Bulldogs. Even though I agree that TLU is absolutely eliminated from the postseason already, they are still a good program and will no doubt play hard for the rest of the season- especially when HSU is on the schedule. I think this will be a big week for us to make a statement. The 2 other main competitors in the ASC have already beaten TLU handily and I think we need to do the same in order to build some confidence rolling into conference play.
I full expect the Cowboys to play extremely well in the home opener and get a convincing win against a good opponent. With no disrespect to TLU, I'll predict an HSU victory by 20+ points.

Hmmm, thanks for the video clip. Thanks to the producers for not rubbing it in.

I could not watch the game.  The clip is the first I've seen of the Yellow and White.  I do not feel too bad about getting beat by nice catches and a little juking at the goal line.
#69 will live in infamy being prepared when opportunity  knocked the ball into his hands with an open field.
The pick on Riddle's pass at the goal line..... :P

On Any Saturday, anything can happen DOC... there is still a ton of respect for Linfield in this neck of the woods.

So true--and pretty much anything (bad) happened to us (CATS) last Saturday---I think we are all out of bad luck/bad play.  At least I hope so.... :-\

And I say that without any intention of taking anything away from the CRU--they are legit and earned that win but man....it could have/should have been a much better game.....

Hooyah Cowboys

Well, not the dominating performance I had hoped for today. The Cowboys jumped out to a 21 point lead early in the second quarter and I have to pay respect to TLU for not folding where most teams we play absolutely would have. We let them get back in the game and had to play our starters the entire game to get the job done. HSU seemed to be in complete control the entire time and the final result was never in question, we just could not seem to put them away. Gotta respect TLU and how they continue to play hard even when facing a big deficit. The offense is hitting their stride right now but the defense seemed to struggle a bit.
The Cowboys are 3-0 so I can't complain! Hoo-yah!!
