Probably, but it won't really matter come next Saturday.

Seriously. What happened to ETBU? Whoda thunk it?
SRSU was no walkover, but handling ETBU in Marshall that way is quite the surprise.

My guess is they saw their season end with the loss to HSU last week and played as such this week.  Unfortunately is a sign of team maturity IMO.

Good guess. Just wondered if ETBU had an injury bug or if SRSU brought along the Marfa lights.  ::)
In any case gotta give SRSU congrats.

They forgot to turn on the sprinklers this week. ;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

My opinion: Sul Ross is most improved team for 2016. ETBU, the most hyped.

I'm happy that The Cru won out the season, but we still have work to do. One of the biggest thing that needs to be addressed is the lack of ability to wrap up when making a tackle. Although this isn't just a UMHB issue...I'm sad to say that it's a problem from the pros all the way down to Pop Warner. Too many players try to hurl their body at the ball carrier hoping to jar the ball lose instead of sticking to the basics (wrap BOTH arms around the ball carrier and bring them down). Also, we're still making dumb mental mistakes (not having their head in the game at hand). The pass coverage is weak. We're giving up way too much yardage in the middle. Lastly, although many would say it's not really a problem, but we have been called on it during the season...all the players staying in the player box (that long purple rectangle along the sideline). Going into the playoffs where the teams are there because they are among the best. We can ill afford being flagged during the playoffs because they players can't keep within the players box. This is something that the coaches need to be on top of.

Well here we are Cru faithful in the post season. I am excited to see Blake drive this team forward. I like our chances, the three phases are clicking, we seem to be healthy which is always a plus and motivated. This is where the scores will get tighter, the play will get a bit more unpredictable as programs who may have never faced one another square off. This is the exciting time I would think for the teams, I know from personal experience, playoffs can start looking long and longer so we as the Crunation have to get behind the guys and the staff as well as the staff manning the stadium, security, media and all of the other things that go into a game which may not go noticed, if your there, say thanks to the guy at the gate. or the girl at the window. Drop jon and Coach a friendly email telling them how much you appreciate all they do, they work hard to make the gameday experience all that much better. The Crunation has to help buoy their spirit. Holidays will start becoming a factor as students travel home and such.
Ok, future Cru, Kyle needs work, but other than that, the future my Cru faithful looks really bright, at least right now.

Since I seem to be the only Southwestern fan on the board I need to drop this message. Southwestern, you know that young program just 35 miles away in Georgetown, took the SCAC. If you have the chance, check out some of their games via the video feed, they have come a long way and look great for such a young program...they join us in the ASC in 2017 so welcome Southwestern.

ASC fans, hope the NCAA springs for 3rd flight in round one and sends both Husson and Huntington to Texas.  If they so that they will likely only have to fly the winner of Linfield/Redlands in round 2 somewhere.  Cru and HSU would be big favorites in their games and at least they would not have to meet until round 2, still not the best, but at least it is not round 1.

Why you gotta tease us like that....

So the Cru draw Redlands for game one, you gotta love it, the committee went outside their rigid rules and really stirred it up. HSU v. Linfield...that is going to be a good game..then if it goes our way, UMHB v either Linfield or HSU... And depending on how things go, down the line, if the Cru win.. a possible matchup with UMU....This is a nice tournament schedule I think.

Pleasantly stunned by the bracket. If it reads like it has in the past, UMHB - if The CRU wins - would host through the semis.

Let's get this party started!

See you guys in the 2nd round!  I know, I know....gotta win the first one but believe me, that shouldn't be an issue.  Looking forward to getting back down to Belton to see the CRU against HSU or Linfield.
