So the Cru draw Redlands for game one, you gotta love it, the committee went outside their rigid rules and really stirred it up. HSU v. Linfield...that is going to be a good game..then if it goes our way, UMHB v either Linfield or HSU... And depending on how things go, down the line, if the Cru win.. a possible matchup with UMU....This is a nice tournament schedule I think.

Good evening Cru faithful.  I wanted to stop in and congratulate you all on a very well deserved #1 seed.  I must say though that we North Central fans are looking forward to the possibility of visiting with you in Belton... before your possible matchup with MUC!  A lot of water will pass under the bridge between now and then though.  Best of luck in the first two rounds.

HSUDAD

I must say I am shocked!   Very excited that we are hosting the first round.   I look forward to some insightful opinions on our match up from the Cru nation since y'all have played us both.  It is gonna be a fun week in anticipation for Saturday's games.   Hooyah Cowboys.

Good for the Texsas teams.  Now it is time to put up or shut up.

You can't be too upset at hosting a game which gives the Wildcats a shot at redemption!  Right?

EDIT:  never mind.  I just saw my mistaken assumption the game was in Oregon.

I like the fact that this tournament schedule has some serious games across the board. no one bracket is a marshmellow for the most part, and if things go the the Cru's way, and the other bracket goes a certain way. we could possibly see a UMHB/UMU match up.. that is what I would love to see...

HSUdad, I would say your strengths is the speed you have reading and shutting down a ground game, and a seriously good pass protection. The Cowboys offense is a quick and multi layered game, mostly finding cracks in the defense and exploiting it.

Linfield has a very deceptive pass game, a good ground game

The QB's are pretty much the same, both can run a good game, confident and capable...seeing that I have alot of respect for both programs I'm not even going to hazard a guess on this game it will come down to simply who wants it more.

I like the fact that if UMHB beats Redlands, The CRU will play either HSU or Linfield. I was expecting UMHB would have to beat both of them in order to advance.

My kudos to the selection committee for overruling the bean-counters and breaking up the Texas sub-bracket (at least for one year).  Or perhaps it was simply shrewder bean-counting - if games go to chalk, there will be NO flights in the second round.

It's OK +1 to Ron Mexico.

We've yet to have much fun in Abilene so maybe this year.

First of all, congrats to the Cru on putting an exclamation mark on a great season.  Wykeyhe Walker's one-handed TD grab in the end zone was brilliant (and for the Cru record, too).  Lots of emotion and intensity this past Saturday in the finale.  Let's hope that continues to carry over to the...

Playoffs!  A very pleasant surprise at the bracket.  It's been a few years since we last saw Redlands.  They were bound to have a tough draw in the first round regardless.  I get that some Linfield fans are upset they aren't hosting a first round game, but this bracket makes for a very interesting matchup against HSU in Abilene.  This will be among the most interesting games of the day along with St. John's against UW-Platteville.  I'm also interested to see how Randy Mac against Johns Hopkins plays out (even though the winner gets served up to Mount the following week).

Congrats to the Cardinals as well.  Very good season up there.  Nothing is a given, but I'd enjoy seeing NCC in Belton, too.  Those of us who follow d3fb know that NCC is a good team and would provide an excellent challenge.  Plus, there isn't a lot of history between the 2 schools across all sports (anyone have data?).  That alone makes the potential later round match-up all the more interesting.  But... first things first.  Gotta focus on Redlands.

Really pulling for both teams to make it past the first 2 rounds, as I moved to TX a couple of years ago and haven't been able to see NCC play in person since. An hour drive north would be wonderful! Good luck to both!
You win! You always do!

Anyone know when tickets go on sale for the UMHB game Saturday?
