Purple CRUsh D played well today. Getting everyone healthy just in time. Blake Jackson made big plays today when needed and T.J. Josey is becoming a beast. I also thought the freshman Guzman did a good job kicking in place of injured Mowery.

Talk about a big ole boo-hoo in that article. Someone get the Coach some tissue and a therapy puppy. Poor guys...they have to play some road games in the playoffs. 

At least today was fun...

   If you are going to have the stones to put photos of your college rings on your website, they should be National Championship rings.  But then you would just have a photo of a Tire, and a wall.  Your the one that needs a tissue dude !!

In 2004 time ran out on you. Or we could've scored again with that team. Who knows?
2009 in McMinnville Coach F rotated Qb's. IMHO wrong. We stole 2 TDs on heads-up turnovers.
2014 you screwed up with the short yardage at the goal line.
2015 home field was worth 3 points.

Hats off to the 'Cats.  I got to see your guys play twice this year in person.  Riddle is otherworldly at times.  Hands down the best opposing QB we have faced (IMHO).  If our D-line wasn't able to pressure him as much as they did, this could have been a much different game.  Not gonna lie, I grinned like a kid in a candy shop when I saw Teidrick and Sam embrace at the end.  2 amazing athletes who have been a real joy to see compete against one another.  I hope these teams are able to continue this rivalry.  I still plan on making the trip to McMinville next year.  And who knows - we may end up playing twice in the same season again.


Next up is Wheaton.  An unfamiliar foe, but at least it's at home.  Looking forward to the game notes for this one.

Of the game, I have to say one of the plays that stands out to me, Tedrick on the ground, reaches out with a big ol' bear paw to catch Sam Riddles foot, bringing him down, what a second effort.

Linfields ground game was actually far more impressive than I previously thought, if they can bank on that and develop it then they will become even that much more of a top tier program.

Markeith, makes the Miller clan proud, his brother (Malcolm played for UMHB 2013-2015) was an outstanding back, and seeing Markeith carry on in the RB role is amazing, his brother hit like a truck, Markeith looks like he hit's like a wrecking ball.

And I would agree with Keith in the podcast, Linfield is (in many regards ) the second best team in DIII. you know there is something I like about them, they make the game look good, gotta say this last game, was full of style points.
Linfields Coach (in the podcast) very gracious and sounds like a stand up guy so they will be fine going forward.

Congrats to UMHB...this is the best UMHB I've seen.  Yeah, even better than the 2004 team and I say that because of what you have at QB.  Linfield didn't let Blake beat them with his legs but his arm was on the money on Saturday.  But what can you saw about the defense.  They did a great job in making Sam uncomfortable with their front 4 and the Cru had their best pass coverage game against Linfield in our now six meetings.

It was a very well earned win and best of luck for the remaining rounds.
