On the visitors side I would imagine they would not have an issue with Umbrellas...on the home side, I imagine if it is really coming down then most people will be in the bottom level under the second level, which gives a nice cover.

Smart money is to get into the Bawcom second story behind the glass and stay dry and nice and toasty. They try to keep it clear, but many have figured out how to avoid that. (we haveses our secrets precious) and pull up the game on a phone so you get the play by as it goes. We enjoyed the HSU second half that way, Nice high backed couches, second story and cool.

I know we're all going a little OT here, but wanted to chime in on something.  I graduated from Georgia Tech the same year that Megatron started his college career.  He was a heck of a talent even back then.  I may not be a Lions fan, but I was definitely rooting him on as he made waves in the NFL.

OT?  You want to talk OT?   OK, I'm starting an online MSCS program at Georgia Tech in the spring.   Now THAT'S OT!!    :)

Hope everyone attending brings their wet-weather gear (and hope that UMHB allows umbrellas in the stadium; some don't).   Looks like it will be off-and-on rain throughout the game.

Saturday 12/03 90% / 0.69 in
Isolated thunderstorms. Showers. Cooler. Temperatures steady around 50. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent
.

I've heard great things about this program.  I considered applying for it, too.  In fact, I have a friend who is in the midst of it right now (he works for Golfweek Magazine).  Let me know how it goes!

As for the weather, I think we've all come to accept it will be a wet one.  I've seen people with umbrellas in the past, but I have also heard that they are banned.  Whatever the case, some people use them.  Before we moved over to the Cruthedral, they allowed umbrellas at Tiger Field.  In fact, I recall using one during the storm that hit in our playoff game against McMurry some years back.  I will be bringing an umbrella with me (along with a poncho or rain-resistant jacket) just to cover all my bases.

There is some funny wording on the website but it looks like you can't bring an open umbrella in the stadium...but you can use one in the stadium as long as you are courteous of those around you. With this weather doubtful it will matter much as you probably won't be surrounded by too many people to be courteous off.

Have you tried a hard hat, either standard which I have used with great success or full brim like the mailmen use here in IL.
Just make sure it has no vents.

Hmmmm, can I get one in purple?

Goodness gracious, it's going to be 50 degrees. Just wear swim suits!  ;)

Done.  But only if I can find a good purple one.  Preferably with the Cru logo.

It is interesting to me to see the similarities in posts with northern and western teams about laughing at us Texans posts about the late-season cold in winter and then complaining about our early season summer-time heat. It is all about what you are used to!!!
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Yup, it's all relative.  Most years the 40s in late November/early December would be very welcome, even here in Michigan.  This year it was 74 on Nov 18, then a high of 34 on the 20th.  The temps seem much more brutal than usual due to no gradually getting used to them!  60 in August is jacket weather; 60 in January calls for t-shirt and shorts! ;)

Congratulations to the Cru on the well deserved win.  Wheaton will take this as a learning experience to improve on the future.
Good luck against Mount.

Mount Union needs to borrow from Wheaton this week.  They need both the X's and O's and Wheaton's Jimmys and Joes.

Wheaton came to play. The Thunder did a good job of protecting the QB for most of the game. The D line and backers were tough and very disciplined.

The UMHB offense seemed pretty vanilla today. I don't know if that was due to Wheaton or the weather or a little of both. It would also be good to get TJ Josey, Kris Brown, Keith Reineke and Hunter Schmidt back for next week.

I would say a little of both, mostly a very stubborn D line and some very quick Linebackers. Their TE Lindquist was a monster...UMHBs D line stepped up, I think there was a conservative mindset in the Offense, don't be too risky, keep the game in hand, just stay ahead. Wheaton took more chances, some paid off, some did not, but that is the game right.
I think they should understand that I think in many eyes much respect for their program has been gained.

Wheaton did a great job of protecting the QB because they were holding on almost every play. It's too bad that The Cru had to play both Wheaton as well as the officials. This official's crew was by far the worst I've seen this year. I'm glad that they called the targeting on #3 Chase Greenlee. If they had blown that call as well I'm not sure what the Cru fans would of done.
