Not worried about HSU. Really? Ok jokes aside UTMB/HSU game will determine the conference champs as always. With what I've seen on both teams so far this year it's a toss up. UMHB defense is legit, but the only legit offense it will face in the regular season is HSU. I see them scoring at least 24 against UMHB. UMHB offense is a question mark. The talent is there but hasn't click yet. OL is shaky. HSU defense looks strong except for a running QB which Josey is. I think UMHB will have to score 30+ to win and they haven't shown that yet this year against the teams they played. I see a 28-24 HSU win right now. Alot depends on Josey/Turner development. Regardless, UMHB is not playing as a #1team right now. Mt. Union would be mine right now.

Yeah, i'm not concerned with HSU, watched the LC game, and saw nothing but an average team on the field. Not that they will not provide a good game, it certainly will be, but this season, I just don't see the same HSU I have seen from the past. UMU, played what, a team last week that hasn't won more than 3 games in a season for 6 years, again not a dig on the program, but  sorry if your not tested then I don't see a way to say definitively that Yeah, they are this or that, but we'll see when the time comes. The cru will face TLU, SW and then HSU, they faced and defeated SRSU who by the way are a serious side on the rise, and for the most part that can prove to be a stiff run of three games. I could be wrong, it's up to the program to prove themselves, I'm just not seeing it.
By the way HSU has updated their broadcast and field and it is first class, looks like the Cowboys are bringing the pride to  their home games, nicely done so if ya'l are going to watch via stream the HSU broadcast is top notch now.

Who is UTMB?

University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston Texas, Founded 1893.    :)

This is hilarious.  ;D

Dang auto correct lol. What I've seen from the HSU offense is actually better than last year. Defense is about the same. UMHB offense looks terrible at this point. Defense looks amazing as usual. Linfield is not a top ten team.  Who cares about Sul Ross? So they improved. Still not ASC elite. As far as mt. Union they may not have not played anyone but they are blowing them out too. Like I said. UMHB is not playing like a #1 team. A top five maybe definitely a top ten but not1.

Easy to blow out a team that can barely tie their cleats.

Hey I know lets see HSU play Linfield.. ohh they did...

Half time and the Cru are up 19 - I like Tj but it seems like Kyle Jones has come a LOOOONNNGGG way from the 2016 season. Actually I'd like to see Kyle in and Tj back in the WR position where he is a devastating player.... thoughts?

TLU is very young.  Defense has been hanging in there, however UMHB's defense is at a national championship level.  TLU has been playing hard, however UMHB is a team against in which you can't make mistakes.  TLU will win several games this year and will have a season on which they can continue to build.

Give em some years, TLU will be back to give programs fits. The infamous 2015 two day extravaganza....

Yes they will.  The "fit" that TLU gave UMHB was actually 2014.  Sure wish the 2015 team could have had a shot at the Cru in the playoffs as I believe that it was actually a bit better than the 2014 team.   TLU needs to "mimick" what UMHB does.  TLU is in a great location and has a very good community that will support the team.  Just needs to work a little magic to get the Texas kids to believe that TLU offers a great education along with a great athletic experience.  Great location...great coaching staff...and top-notch education.  Just needs that extra punch.

Ralph Turner

SRSU 35 McMurry 7.  It was 14-7 at the half, but SRSU scored 14 in the 4th quarter.

Agreed. I think this would be wise.  TJ on the outside with our freshman receivers and returners. Devastating! Linfield coach said our D was better than last year. Should be interesting in two weeks in Abilene.

Just doesn't have a top notch facility. The visiting team doesn't even have a place to get away during half time. Would you rather play in Bulldog stadium or Crusader Stadium? Any recruit with a chance to go to either program and could go either way will pick UMHB for that alone.
