Another year, same ol story. ASC gets the shaft every year. NCAA needs to do what is right for the players, not their piggy banks. Not surprised, but definitely disappointed.  ::)

No empathy here for you.

The SCIAC

Agreed. The games need to be based on how the teams are ranked, not how they are placed geographically.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Chapman is a fun team to watch, very dynamic offense. Chapman's QB (Bautista) throws a very good ball with a quick release and he's accurate too. Their defense is not great though, and will have trouble like Redlands did with the size and speed UMHB has. Having said that, they gave a beat down to Redlands this year, so maybe they will surprise for a quarter or two like Redlands last year.

The UMHB defensive line will go through that Chapman offensive line like a hot knife through butter.

Just like everyone else, I'm tired of this NWC/SCIAC/ASC sub-bracket and getting railed by the NCAA.  Nothing we can do about so let's pony up and play (watch/talk) some football

I am currently in the Pit of Misery as a die-hard Denver Broncos fan.  Amazing how you can win a SB 2 years ago and be top 3 worst teams in the NFL now.  Sorry, this is about the ASC.....enjoy the games this weekend.

I didn't realize the Associate AD, Darla Kirby, was the committee chair for the selection committee. In the podcast excerpt, she says she didn't realize all the East teams in one of the brackets. That seems strange to me. Did I hear that right?

She spoke to the travel budget issues for the first round. I get it. I still feel something could be done about the constant pairing of SCIAC, NWC, and ASC, but it is what it is. Time to defend the code.

Jack,

I think you can find a Cowboy fan or two that will commiserate with you.  :-\

Great season, Cru!  I won't touch on the question marks of the past 2 weeks (or the playoff bracket), because it's been said enough.  Happy to see another conference title and playoff berth.  No looking past Chapman - even if a turkey meal and rematch is looming.  Gotta keep winning.  :)

Looking at the brackets, I like this years breakout, alot of tough football ahead for a good portion of this tourney I like it.

Hooyah Cowboys

Saturday will be interesting in McMinnville. I'll admit I don't know much about Linfield this year other than their results but I do remember them being much bigger than us up front last year and winning the game mostly by dominating the trenches. I think our size has been our downfall in recent years against mhb and Linfield.
I think Saturday will be a defensive battle and here's to hoping we come out on top and get to host Chapman in round 2!  ;D

Go Cowboys & Go Chapman!
