Not sure who to believe as I have seen conflicting reports on the time of our game on Saturday. The local paper said that UMHB would get a chance to host Brockport St at noon on Saturday but I am not sure if that is not force of habit because ESPN3 list our game starting at 2:30 with the Mount/UWO game starting at noon. Doesn't really matter but I am anxious for some confirmation from the NCAA or the D3 guys.

ESPN3
your kickoff is at 3:30 est, Mount @ Oshkosh kickoff at 1:00 est

Brockport is easy to get mouthy. Looks like that could be a point of let down. Hope Ajay doesn't get going with one of them. I'm watching the video of the game yesterday.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

+1!

The DelVal QB was able to scramble well against Brockport. Hopefully CR3 can do that this week.

Brockport likes to do some of the same stuff that St. Thomas did. Hopefully we will make some adjustments this week. I think UMHB should go to a two back set if the pressure gets to be too much. Any of our RB's can block, then they can sneak out for a dump off.

Lots of yapping from the Brockport players. They could get into trouble...

At this point in the tournament any team left is dangerous and capable of winning the game. That said as frustrating as it can be for our bracket to have to play some great teams early I think if you can make it through the gauntlet it can really help the team make the big step to the finals.

I think this weekend will be another great game and the Cru will have to show up with our A game but I'm calling a 24 - 10 win for the Cru

Ron Boerger

If the Cru stay focused on the goal they should get past Brockport.

Early forecasts are for fine late fall football weather - around 60 at game time, winds around 10 mph, no rain.

56 to 0 UMHB.

I suspect it will be closer to this than to 24-10 again.

It's been awhile, but just looking at UST's games against eastern "powers" like SJF and Hobart, I'm just going to go ahead and recommend UMHB give their QB a week off (he took a few shots on Saturday) and pencil themselves into the Stagg.

Maybe that kind of thinking explains why UST has never won the big one.
Always respect your opponent. Works for Mount Union!

I suspect that the thinking of a random UST fan which is shared in jest on the internet probably has very little to do with UST's success or failure.

Cru Bryce Wilkersons runback  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWESiCAG9qU

Best of luck to UMHB.  I suspect they will get through to the Finals with a several score win on Saturday.

Let me preface by saying (a) Wilkerson is amazing (b) his effort and speed on that runback were legit (c) I think UMHB was the better team and absolutely deserved to win, (d) I am usually the last person to get on officials, and (e) I waited 2 days and re-watched the highlight several times to try to get over my own bias and make this seem less like sour grapes...

BUT how in the world were flags not thrown on the numerous blocks in the back throughout that return.  Specifically:

- 1:05-6 mark at the 31 yard line (UMHB player throws hands up to try to avoid call (well coached) but nonetheless smokes UST player in the back, who tumbles into another UST player)
- 1:11 mark at the 47 yard line
- 1:14 mark at the other 47/48 yard line

I fully admit to wearing (northern) purple tinted glasses, but those were all brutal misses - particularly the first and last one.

Numerous holds on Ajay Fanene weren't called either, so it all works out in the end.

Agreed on the holds. Our big boys were struggling to hold back your rush and keep Perra from getting creamed. I was surprised more of those weren't called, although it's not as if our offense was freely moving the ball up the field on account of the holds.
