Don't blame your O-line,  blame your QB and the play calling

I'd like to think they were one unit, but you have a point concerning the QB leadership
CR3 is the future of the program!  90% of the programs in the country would love to have him, if the press clippings are true.

Do not get down on him.

Help him build his leadership ability.

Interesting about Josey.
I expected him to take over Qb.
Cheers to the Cru. Beating the Union twice (ok, 3 times) takes precision.
They have it.

They didn't mention it but does anybody know if TJ Josey got hurt?  He played early but I never saw him on the field again.

I saw him come off the field early in game, holding either his side or hand. It was a play he got hit going out of bounds to the offensive left.

Great season Cru.  I'm sure it's bitter right now but 99% of schools in Division III would give their left arm for your 2017 season.  There is plenty to celebrate.

Early on in the game i saw TJ hold his side (ribs area) and he seemed to have a hard time breathing. I thought maybe he had just taken in too much cold air.

CRU-Proud. Great D, but offense struggled all season. UMHB maintains its integrity win or lose.

Great year Cru! Yes, it hurts that we didn't win tonight, but y'all had an incredible season! To the seniors, your four years gave us a great run and topped it off last year with winning the Stagg Bowl. Thanks for bringing The Cru to the next level! I'll be up in the stands next season cheering on The Cru!

Cheers to the Cru! Your D was unreal. Mount's O made 1 play - literally 1 play. Mount and UMHB have played 4 times - and everyone of them was an incredible game. See you next year.......in Texas!

Thanks to those that replied.  Adam Turner mentioned in his post game article that Josey left with a rib injury.  With him going out, that made at least 4 players who've contributed this season that didn't play.  Makes it tough even with depth.

I'm certainly not a coach but it seemed to me that UMHB had success moving the ball on the edges the first two drives but then never attacked there again as the game went on.  No sweeps, end arounds, etc. to try and get outside.

part of that package of plays is TJ Josey. if he was out that limits things. it also explains why CR3 was stuck holding the ball on a few of those sacks. Josey gets separation and he can get the ball out quicker. maybe TJs replacement couldn't.
Talking to my brother after the game i realized CR3 played 4 of the fastest/best defenses in d3 the last 4 games. he won't see that again until playoffs next year. Talk about prep for the up coming season. I can't wait. The offense is coming!
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Congrats to UMHB on a great season. Your program is at the top of the D3 world. Enjoy it while you're there. With the talent and coaching, we will be seeing you again!

Great job Cru on great season. It was cold at the game but glad we went.

Sometimes the best team doesn't win, but in this case the better team did win. Congrats to Mount Union!

Give credit to a great game plan executed by a really good team.  Mount was able to get penetration often and with a controlled rush to keep CR3 from getting out of the pocket was able to get the sacks needed to control the game.  It was mentioned that UMHB was able to get outside on the first few drives but never went back to it.  They tried but Mount shut it down along with everything else tried by the Cru.  This was a 3-0 football game.  The TD should have been intercepted or at least knocked down.  The safety comes after #1 tries to make something happen after the team goes down 10-0 and give UMHB poor field position.  In the end it was 2 really good teams separated by a field goal.  Nothing to hang heads about, it took a superior effort by a very good team to beat UMHB.  Great season Cru.

All 4 times when these two teams have met they have been tough hard fought close games.  Not much separated them in any of those 4 years.
