To all the TLU fans on the boards, how is Emory Cuzze doing? Is he starting? we were in high school together, and he almost got me to commit to play at TLU haha.

I'm not sure there are many TLU fans on here. If we play later in the year, and TLU is undefeated, then we see some. The greatest TLU poster of all time was TLUGoat. I wonder where that guy is.  ??? :'(

He is listed as a starting inside linebacker on the 2-deep this week. No. 13.  He leads the team in tackles.

So...TLU is a good side, they gave us fits last evening and played a tough game. The Cru prevailed, not as polished but then again we faced a tougher team so that is expected. TLU forced mistakes and we caused mistakes on our own.

Jase was throwing a bit behind his receivers, I hope it was a one game thing.

KICKING! wth is up with that? That has to be a point of focus.

TLU did well, a tough side be we have known that.

I was watching the stream last night and all I could hear for the first quarter was the tlu crowd. Couldn't tell if Jase was off due to wet weather or just off. Multiple missed throws and quite a few mishandled snaps. I didn't see any umbrellas, but that doesn't mean much. Anybody go that has some insight?

ETBU looked decent against Belhaven. Starters came out at the end of the 3rd, so really not even as close as the score indicated. We still don't have any semblance of a run game, but the big play passing game bails us out a lot. Definitely need to think about getting our athletes in space more with screens -- we can't expect to complete 3 or 4 deep bombs for TDs against HSU/UMHB. Its a little frustrating because we have 3 receivers that can out-athlete their opponent on every play (so far this season), and they don't get the amount of touches in space that they should. The defense looked the best they have this season and forced a bunch of turnovers. Most pleasantly surprising, the kicking game got on the board with a few made FGs (still another game with a missed XP *sigh*).

Looking forward to Hardin-Simmons next week, I think with a better offensive game plan and a solid defensive showing ETBU will shock some people. I believe we have the talent, just have to put it together!

All of our kickers are freshman, so...

There was a stiff wind going from left to right on your screen. This caused a few balls to be held up. On the bright side, we were throwing long INTO the wind, something we did not do in last year's Stagg.

The snaps, I think we have a freshman at center. This could have something to do with it. Pressure from the DLine and a slow start from the O.

Several of you on here talked about Jase being off, missing his receivers and wondering if it was the wet weather. Let me tell you. The Mount QB was off all day and we had perfect weather. Let's hope both of our guys had their one bad day for the year. We all know both are better QBs.
Go Cru and Go Raiders. See you in the Stagg? ☠🏈

just to stress the throwing long into the wind, Jase had two incompletes that were 50 yard passes in the air into the wind. the 77 yard bomb to jonell was 50+ into the wind and he hit him in stride. in the 1st qtr the wind was at his back and he kept slightly over throwing receivers. I talked with Jase after the game he wasn't pleased with his performance. He wouldn't even talk about the big 2nd qtr. Good thing is the defense has been solid, special teams are dangerous, if the opposing D takes away the pass we can run, if they take away the run with a 7 man front we can pass. Nice combination to have if you root for the The CRU.

I am hoping this was just a not so great game, plus let's not take TLUs coverage out of the picture, TLU is a talented team. Despite the issues, wind and all the Cru stepped up, D was absolute!

But even if the kicker is a freshman. gotta pull that in tight and clean it up, how many points were missed yesterday? in a tight game, that could mean the difference between a win or a loss and this was not so tight of a game.

Personally I am still very happy with this CRU, Sure we all want pin point execution but these guys are coming together well as I can see

Did he go in depth on TD number 5 up 40-17 with 14 seconds left?

Thought TLU hung tough.  UMHB has superior size and speed, but TLU battled and the score was not indicative of the game.  It was not a domination.  UMHB didn't play their best and when you can beat a good team while not being at your best, that's actually a good thing.  UMHB and HSU should be a slobber-knocker.  TLU has the ability to knock off HSU.  If they do, I think they have a chance to make the playoffs and possibly face UMHB again like in 2014.  What a great game that was in spite of the rain delay.  TLU got after them that year in the playoffs and dang near knocked them off after getting destroyed in the regular season.

I too was curious by looking only at the box score trying to figure out why you throw a 24 yard pass with 14 seconds left when you are up by a monkeystomp?  Also was surprised to not see Poorman on the list for mop up time.  I have not been as close to d3 this season so maybe I have missed an event?
