But we have to admit there have been times a "guy" was selected. Blake shared the duties with Anderson, but remember Blake had hurt his foot for a few games that season, the next season Blake was squarely the "Guy" although there were others in the line, Blake clearly had the nod. Last season it was less sure but we ended with CRIII. I think each of the three in the battle have pluses and minuses and possibly the last missing portion is the leadership as all three are very skilled athletes.

So maybe that is the portion that is just not there, a leader off the field, in the training phases, the workouts and many other situations.

I need to correct some erroneous information I previously shared. Seats in Sections 114,115,116 on the Bawcom side of Crusader Stadium are not being offered online. I repeat, they are not being sold online. You will need to purchase your tickets at the stadium. Gates 1, 2 and 3 all have ticket booths. It has been my observation that the booth at Gate 2 is usually underutilized. It is located on the southwest corner of the stadium. Sorry, for the previous incorrect information. I made an assumption. What can happen when you assume, did happen - to me. :-\  Sorry for the incorrect info.  I hope this helps.

So as a visiting fan, we can't buy tickets online? But it would be a smart bet to go to gate 2? Also is the away side general admission or assigned seating?

normally you can, but the reserved seting shows none available. You do seem to be able to buy gen Ad on line and if you do it is cheaper than at the gate with no line. There are both reserved and GenAd tickets on both sides

No one can purchase advanced tickets online for sections 114,115,116. There are quite a few UMHB regulars that sit in those sections and they are also unable to purchase tickets for those sections online. So it isn't a "visiting fan" thing.

I don't know if the seating in those sections will be reserved or general admission. However, because all those seats are only available on game day, I would arrive early. As I said, there are quite a few UMHB regulars that sit on the Bawcom side of the stadium. In Saturday's game vs Southwestern, I would speculate that probably 60%-70% of the fans in those sections were UMHB fans. I expect at least some of them will arrive early to secure tickets/seats.

Attendance for the Southwestern game was around 7,500.

I don't look at Crusader Stadium as having a traditional "visitors side." The Bawcom side of the stadium is traditionally where the opposition's fans sit and would be deemed the visitors' side, but it is also where quite a few UMHB fans choose to sit as well (I have also seen fans from other teams sit on the press box side, usually during the playoffs). Much of the press box side of the stadium is taken up by season ticket holders and, because the seating is so good on the Bawcom side, quite a few UMHB fans choose to sit there.

In my opinion, there is not a bad seat in all of Crusader Stadium. It is a great place to watch a football game. I watched all of the Southwestern game from the Bawcom side and usually watch at least some of every game from that side.

If Gate 1 and/or Gate 3 are congested, I would suggest going to Gate 2. Like I said, it has been my observation that in the past it has been underutilized and I have rarely observed the congestion that can take place at Gates 1 and 3. Gate 2 is located at the southwest corner of the stadium.

Ticket booths open 2 hours before kickoff.

Safe travels to all HSU fans.

The weather forecast for HSU vs UMHB is interesting: Weather Underground has a 40%-50% chance of rain during the game as does the Weather Channel. Dark Sky is predicting only a 10%-15% chance of precipitation. Let's hope if it does rain that it is light and NO lightning.

Two years I ago I do not recall the away side being reserved, think it was first come first serve, but I could be wrong.
However, as mentioned earlier there really is not a bad seat, the stadium is freaking awesome.  When my kid went on a recruiting trip there and we got out of the car, I thought for sure this was where he was going to go based on the stadium alone, but ultimately the closeness to home of HSU was a major factor in choosing the Cowboys.

I am so excited, nervous, stressed in anticipation of this game, I can't hardly stand it!

So on his weekly show, the coach for Southwestern basically complained about our facility, the fact that we have donors that enjoy football, the scoring late in the game, and he reiterated that his team has to play "like the smart kids" cause they recruit a "different kind of player". 😳 This guy is jealous.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Yeah UMHB, in his pre game interview he started to say UMHB should be playing in a different division (DII) I let it slide, but yeah, coach. you want UMHB to move, have SWU pay for it.... This question was asked on one of the other boards and it basically comes down to alot of funding and growth. My alma mater just moved from DII to DI - it took a decade and a big jump.
UMHBs culture is still a smaller school and even if UMHB moved to DII, you still have to contend with UMU, St. Thomas, HSU and many other top tier programs.
But I do give props to the video coverage for SWU, I said it before and I'' say it again. damn near pro level.

I'm hoping the video coverage of the HSU vs. UMHB is improved, as I will be unable to attend that game.  Field level video of live action is very hard to follow and I'm hoping that the video will be shot from above like most television game broadcasts.  Should be a great game!

Interesting comments about our Dtadium. Last time I checked there was a lot of big money floating around Southwestern.

Want to wish you the best tomorrow. I have nothing against HSU but I feel like I know a little about UMHB. Should be a great game. Best to both teams but Go Cru! ☠🏈

Apparently the cuts at HSU are gutting the music school.

So if he had a donor that "enjoys football" and wanted to build them a stadium he would turn it down because his players are different??? I don't think so.
