No problem Wally,
EAST
1)BROCKPORT VS 7) WESTERN NEW ENGLAND
4)DEL VAL VS 5) MIT
3)RPI VS 8) HUSSON
2) FROSTBURG ST VS 6) FRAMINGHAM ST.
No flights till semifinals, 2 top ten rank team, only one non regional rank.
NORTH
1)MT UNION vs 8) HANOVER
4) TRINE vs 6) WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON
3) JOHN CARROLL vs 5) MULENBURG
2) NORTH CENTRAL vs 7) EUREKA
no flights till semifinals, 3 top ten teams, 2 non regional rank teams
SOUTH
1)UMHB vs 3) HSU
5) CENTRE vs 8) DENISON
4) BERRY vs 7) MARYVILLE
2) JOHN HOPKINS vs 6) RANDOLPH MACON
3 flights, 2 top ten, 1 non regional rank
WEST
1) UW-WW vs 8) MARTIN LUTHER
4) BETHEL vs 5) ST NORBERT
3) WHITWORTH vs 7) CLAREMONT MUDD SCRIPPS
2) ST JOHN vs 6) WARTBURG
2 flights, 3 top ten teams, 2 non regional rank teams.
You could switch FROSTBURG and JOHN HOPKINS and  separate HSU and UMHB and still have only five flights, but two in first round. That bracket would look like this
1) UMHB vs 8) DENISON
3) HSU vs 7) MARYVILLE
4) BERRY vs 5) CENTRE
2) FROSTBURG ST vs 6) RANDOLPH MACON
However that makes the east really weak with just one top ten team, but puts south slightly harder than rest.
I'll wait for your saying this isn't balanced or not meeting of criteria............lol

Tricktroy32
Nice alternative bracket and better yet great to see you using hard returns to make HScoach happy.

A Double Space between each bracket would be nice...

And why are you SHOUTING the team names.    ::)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I lived in Wichita Falls for a few years after college. It uneducated me a little. Lol ;) Hoping the crew good luck this coming week. You have the most talent from any team I seen this year including Mt. Union(Just Barely). I was worried about your kicker at the beginning of the year, but he has made massive improvements since then. If you can limit the unnecessary penalties I don't see no one stop a second Crew National Championship. Still hope HSU beats ya next year and win the Stagg for my brother's. I know how much my semifinals ring means to me compared to my conference championship rings.

Just wondering, but what Mt. Union game(s) have you seen this year?

John Carroll, Been Wallace, and Ohio Northern. They have amazing talent. Just think UMHB have a bit more speed and aggression.

I just have to say it's good to see you posting so productively after your team has been eliminated.  That's as rare as it is refreshing. Happy Thanksgiving trickytroy32 and all ASC posters and fans!

Will root for any ASC team that is representing in the playoffs. Think our third and fourth best teams in conference would dominate many other conferences and Usual top two teams are better than almost all conferences top two teams on a long term stance.

My over-under for the Berry UMHB game.

Premise: Head-to-head results will give us a good estimation of how we should seat Berry and HSU in the Regional Rankings.  Who was the better team?

Premise: Home field advantage (HFA) for a bus trip of about 200 miles to a familiar venue is 3 points. (HSU to UMHB ~185 miles)

Premise: HFA for a plane trip in D-3 is 6 points.

UMHB 27 HSU 6  = 21 points minus 3 points for HFA = 18 points (~2.5 TD's) on a neutral site.

The over/under for Berry is 18 points + 6 points for HFA = 24 (~3.5 TD's)

umhb2001

Berry is similar to Southwestern's defense in rushing yards allowed.

UMHB had 169 yards rushing against Southwestern.

In Passing, Berry is closest to Belhaven in this statistical comparison.

UMHB had 150 yards passing against Belhaven.

Offensively, Berry is statistically similar to TLU.

TLU had 284 total yards against UMHB

If Berry has their backup QB, I don't see them having near the success of a TLU team that scored 14 points with a fully healthy squad. I expect a spirited effort that grabs UMHB up front. I'm thinking the D pulls off 1 TD for the Cru, and the offense runs all day. 35-0 Cru.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Did you notice that 3 of the 4 NFL Thanksgiving Day QB's played their HS ball in Texas?

Matthew Stafford - Highland Park
Chase Daniel -- Southlake Carroll
Colt McCoy -- Jim Ned HS (just south of Abilene)
