My over-under for the Berry UMHB game.

Premise: Head-to-head results will give us a good estimation of how we should seat Berry and HSU in the Regional Rankings.  Who was the better team?

Premise: Home field advantage (HFA) for a bus trip of about 200 miles to a familiar venue is 3 points. (HSU to UMHB ~185 miles)

Premise: HFA for a plane trip in D-3 is 6 points.

UMHB 27 HSU 6  = 21 points minus 3 points for HFA = 18 points (~2.5 TD's) on a neutral site.

The over/under for Berry is 18 points + 6 points for HFA = 24 (~3.5 TD's)
Average UMHB margin of victory is 29.66 points by the experts.

Pat Coleman tells us how he feels about UMHB's failure to nominate Markeith Miller for the Gagliardi.  Today's podcast...

Why didn't they nominate Miller? Pat mentioned he thought they were doing it for the "wrong reasons" but it wasn't clear what they were.

It might be the off field work most Gagliardi nominees have.

Congrats to the Crew. Now beat St. John 56-14

Dominating performance for The Cru, today. I thought they showed some things that were taking a step, or two, forward from last week. Things I needed to see: 1. Taking shots across the middle, 2. Challenging deep, 3. 2nd and 3rd string QB's getting in.

In previous games, we hadn't seen much attack across the middle. First drive of the game, TJ across the middle. We also took some shots deep. I know St. John's and possibly UWW will have more secondary speed, but I doubt they have Aaron Sims and KJ Miller speed. Denarian looked pretty good throwing the ball. I think he showed some indecisiveness, but he did do a good job when the decisions were made quickly. And the 3rd string QB, wow. I really liked his decision making on the RPO. Great legs, and he threw a nice ball too.

Big matchup this next week. Watched much of the SJU game. They look good. Team speed will be the difference. Looking forward to it.

Finally, great job, Berry. Congrats on a great season. See you down the road.

If that were the case, they'd probably have someone else they could nominate. But UMHB nominated nobody.

I'm beginning to see what the CRU are. The season starts next week unlike the Ohio team.

It's going to be a loooong week.  I can't wait for this game.  I reckon it's a one score contest.

Let's go Johnnies!

Southern teams claiming their superior speed will lead them to victory; a tale as old as time.  Probably took 3 beatdowns from NDSU before Sam Houston State fans cooled their speedy jets.
