Dr. Acula

Just read a tweet from a Browns beat writer saying Blake Jackson has been placed on "waived-injured."  That writer, Zac Jackson, says he would have been a candidate for practice squad so hopefully he heals and gets his shot!  Browns fans seem to have taken a liking to him already!  Get well, Blake.

Anytime it is pretty easy to go to the game and drive home that night for a bowl game that should be considered a home game (at least according to the rule book I just made up)  ;D

Also true, I am very anxious to see what kind of crowd Mount Union will provide to those games.

Your previous quote about backyard versus front porch is the funniest thing I have read today. And appropriate.

My wife's opinion (the alum) is that if Mount makes it to those games and HoF stadium isn't descended upon by Raiders past, present, and future like a biblical plague of locusts, she is going to be sorely disappointed. Just the families and former high school friends of the local players on the team should be able to pack the house.

Logistically, it might actually be easier for most Mount students/backers to make it to Canton than to Alliance. A lot of them live there, and Canton is on I77, which is a straight shot from Cleveland. I71 is nearly the same from Columbus (and 62 is another straight shot for anyone familiar with the area).

I am taking time off to go to those games even if Mount does not make it!

Me too. See you there. Go Raiders!  ;D

By the way, Mount travels very well to road games. There is usually more of us than fans from the home team. We WILL pack the stadium. Look for me there. I'll be wearing purple.  ::)

My impression...
With the Tommies gone from the WAIC, a win by SJU over UMHB to go 10-0 gives the Johnnies home field advantage at least to the first 2 and maybe all 4 rounds.

And this will happen when?
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Not sure when or if, but it explains the strategy for the home-and-home series.  UMHB gets a competitive game #10. SJU gets a chance to get a leg up on a tough regional opponent (UW-W or UW-other reigning WIAC power) when doling out home field advantage thruout the first 4 rounds.

In reality it is pretty interesting to note how these two sites just happen to be in the backyards of the best two teams in the country nearly a decade now counting 2019

True, although I do feel the need to say if Shenandoah is in our backyard, then Canton is more like the front porch for Alliance since its only 26 minutes from UMU to that stadium. Should be an amazing experience though for the players and any fans that get to go up a day or two early.
If you consider scale, a 25 minute drive in Ohio is like a 2.5/3 hr drive in texas. I drive 3 hrs without blinking regularly for UMHB homegames
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Has anyone confirmed that Tevin Jones is coming back at middle linebacker for the Cru? If so then that defense is gonna be a beast again!

He confirmed his return on Twitter the other day. I assume at MLB.

Tevin is definitely back... and better than ever!
