Re UMHB QBs

I was hoping your starting QB was one on crutches with his arm in a sling, but that's just me!
Just kidding. Good luck on the season. Go Cru!  ::)  ;D

See you in the Stagg?  ???
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

And based on the scrimmages, he is no joke, kid can really kick it. And I cannot wait until he gets to run over a fellow defensive player trying to tackle him.

Hey Cru followers. I live in the north and follow the top D3 games here in MIAC/WIAC country, but my kid is a UMHB student this year so I've been following them too starting late last season. I don't know that much yet about the other ASC conference schools. A lot of the MIAC and WIAC teams are playing each other in tough nonconference games last week and this week in the northland and getting tested early. At what point do you think UMHB will get tested? I know Hardin Simmons is always a top team, but do you think anyone else will give UMHB a tough test this year before the playoffs?

This Saturday will be interesting against Albright. They will be hungry with a game under their belt, a poor showing to avenge from last year, and a seemingly young offense attacking them. New QB, new RB, new WRs, and several up and coming lineman will make this game interesting. Thankfully our first few games are "easier" so that we can get some guys up to speed.

Interesting? Seriously?  OK, I'll take the CRU and give you 50.  I'll wager one beer to be paid on the day UW-W and UMHB next play.
he didn't say close. it is interesting because of the number of guys out who would be starting and the number of freshman getting the nod to start. We get to watch unknown commodities to us and hopefully get a glimpse into the next four years.

Got it. I think when I read the part about Albright being hungry and looking to avenge last year, it threw me off. They can be as hungry as they want. They aren't going to be doing any eating on Saturday!

My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Honestly, I'm impressed by them. It took a lot to sack up after that beat down last year and fly to Texas rather than aborting their end of the home and home. I know they won't get the full power "of a fully operational death star" but I hope what they see and experience helps their program this season.

While I was at the scrimmages we never faked a punt so I didn't see him throw but I believe he played QB among other positions while in high school.

Welcome to the ASC board!

Top teams to challenge this year will be:

1. HSU
2. Southwestern
3. ETBU
4. TLU

I think TLU will surprise some people this year.  A bit under the radar.  We'll see.

TLU in my mind is a player in ASC, last year they were a bit off, it would seem they have tightened things up, I'm guessing a 3rd place run, possibly a 2nd depending on their HSU matchup. I expect HSU to be a strong side again this season and a true test for the CRU, they bring a game and deserve a top ten national ranking. But the unknown in the room is ETBU, last season they didn't seem mature, blowing a huge lead to Platteville and didn't come off to me as a serious team, this season, in their Platteville game they looked very much tighter, far more serious and could be a spoiler. So the top four this season in ASC are going to be an interesting run. I predict three teams in the top 25 by the end of the 2019 season.

He was booming punts in practice and the scrimmages. Very Cru-like to put a skill guy back there to punt. Gives you an extra spot on the travel squad and playoffs.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!
