He is listed as the #1 QB on the 2 deep again, but then again he was last week and didn't end up playing.  Interestingly enough, Marquise Duncan isn't listed as the #1 or #2 RB again.  But, he got the start last week without being on there too.

Could throw a wrinkle in things if the Cru lose to HSU and put themselves in the discussion for a pool C berth. That would be bad for UMHB but I would not want to be in the region having to play them and trying to hang a second loss on them.

I'm too lazy look. When's the last time UMHB played in the northland in a playoff game? Ever?

My highly technical definition of Northland would be anywhere that has a decent chance of getting a white Christmas.  ;D

Were there any changes to the 2 Deep from last week?  Sometimes coaches across the landscape are a bit slow on the uptake as far as getting the info to the SID's every week.

They played at Whitewater in the playoffs in both 07 and 08.

Whitewater would definitely be the Northland. UMHB has a come a long way since '08. With their heavy running game emphasis, I bet the Cru would fit right in if they found themselves playing a late round playoff off game in wintery weather. That would be fun.

I believe they pulled the upset in the snow in 2004. Now who was that against!?  ;)
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Pat Coleman

They also played at Central in the first round in 2009.

True fact..I've lived in Utah and Germany and Texas. first white Christmas I ever saw was in Abilene, TX in 2004.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

If not, I guess it would have to be Mount Union in 2012.

Very interesting week in the ASC in my opinion.  TLU vs. Sul Ross could be a game.  If TLU is on, they should take care of business.  But Sul Ross has the potential to give them a game, so looking forward to that one.  TLU playing for a chance at a playoff berth.  ETBU and Howard Payne could be another really interesting game.  HPU is much improved this year and ETBU is coming off a tight game vs. McMurry.  Not sure if ETBU was off or if McMurry is beginning to respond to the new staff and approach.  ETBU should probably be favored, but I think it can go either way.  Southwestern vs. McMurry could also be a tight game.  McMurry I believe is playing a lot of young players and they appeared to have caught up a bit based on the team's performance vs. ETBU.  With young players, you just can't count on a lot of consistency, but if McMurry can put a game together like they did last week, they may have a chance.  UMHB and HSU will be a battle, but I just don't think HSU has the ability to hang with the CRU for four full quarters.  But you never know when these two meet.  I hope it is a good, tight game.   Looking forward to Saturday!

Quite a few, some shuffling with the backup OL , LB core, a new RB (Looks like a new Juco transfer Justin Theriot), and a new long snapper.

Not a good idea to poke an already salty program. Some former HSU players I guess have made shirts mocking the ncaa decision to vacate the titles.
For one, your in belton and not only in belton but at HOCO as well meaning a good number of returning alumns will be there. Some could say that is may knock down the drive of the team on the field, from my experience, it goes the other way. Mocking a program could be detrimental to the outcome for HSU.
