I'm still thinking that at the Division III level we can hold ourselves to a higher standard than "what Ohio State does."
Maybe all NCAA programs should be held to the same standard, regardless of level.

Well, in the end, waiting for D-I Power 5/FBS to meet us where we are is senseless, so let us set the bar at the Division III level.

Hard to say. Will we see the Offensive Coordinator awake and into this game to let Jase and the offense do anything? Will Poorman and Bowden come in and change the pace? Will our RBs run with determination and not tiptoe through the pansies?

If so? 42-15
If not? 21-15.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I have a gut feeling we will see the "conservative" offense today aimed at taking low risks, shortening the game, and relying on the defense.

If this is the case, I won't be surprised to see a one score difference come down to the last possession.

If we decide to open things up then I can see a Crusader win by two or more scores.

I feel the opposite. I don't think they want to go backward with playoffs approaching. I think they want to keep the momentum and build on last week.

As far as the Ohio St. situation. I think the argument wasn't that D3 shouldn't hold themselves to a higher standard but that the double standard is the issue.

I'm comfortable with Division III having its own standards.

I hope you are right!

It was good to see the Cru play with some tempo today. Even got to see some big defensive milestones with Tevin Jones jumping to 2nd all time in tackles with and Jefferson Fritz getting another pick for his 18th career interception (tied with Baylor Mullins). The tandem of Duncan and Theriot was pretty potent as well.

Agreed on all fronts. We looked balanced today offensively and defensively. This team is hitting its stride.

I hope #3 is ok. He is a playmaker on D for us.

Really close prediction! Maddening that we found a way to lose to a team that couldn't even stay on the field with MHB.

Close!  41-3.

In my opinion that was the most complete game the Cru has played all season Defense, Offense, and Special Teams.

Defense had a tough task in holding off Freeman (the kid is dynamic) but held them to no TDs.

Offense moved the ball with long time eating drives and finishing with points (other than the blocked FG n back to back drives ending inside the 5)

Special Teams Fritz w/ a punt inside the 5, Gibson's punt returns, and Anthony Avila!! Let's say it again Avila is the best kicker in the country!!!!

Great win today against a strong opponent.

Prayers for Akeem Jackson the young man has played great all year. Go CRU!!

Coolrey

I really felt TLU would give the Cru a better game.  I wasn't of the opinion that they would have a good chance of winning it, but I did think that, based on the way they have been playing, they would test UMHB.  Really wasn't even the list bit close.  HSU has rebounded nicely.  Howard Payne has quietly put together a nice season considering where they have been the past few years.  Obviously, McMurry has a long way to go.  Coach Neal will get this thing moving forward so long as the admin is doing all that is necessary to support his efforts.  I think if the Cru plays like they did this past weekend, they will have a shot at getting back to the big game.  They looked much better.
