QB Jock Itch

He was not very happy with his performance after the game. But to think any QB was going to connect on every throw against that defense is beyond foolish. As noted by the 5 sacks. He will take the blame for this one.

Defense saves the day again. Oline needs to get to the second level on their blocks and a few jet sweeps and screens would maybe loosen the middle up a little. 50 yards rushing won't get us much further. Defense got better as the game went along and that was a good sign.

Ehh, wasn't expecting the rushing game to do that much. We ended up putting up 65 yards against the #3 rushing defense in the nation who only gives up 52.7 a game.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this. Watching the Chapman vs. Linfield game I was surprised to hear all those cow bells and other noise makers. I thought that the NCAA made it clear that artificial noise makers weren't allowed in post season play. That it gave the home team an unfair advantage. But, itsn't that the idea of home field advantage...to have the support of all your fans, the band, no travel time? If other schools are allowing noise makers during post season why are we keeping our noise makers at home after the regular season ended?

No prayer. Still don't get that one. If you are not a christian then just sit for that minute and play on your phone. We can have one during the regular season but not playoffs?

I get this argument, but it's not like they are playing in a dominant league either. We should have been able to run more. Give Theriot the ball and let him run up the middle. He doesn't need to run outside the tackles. I'd like to see a two back set. That would be awesome.

Two back sets. Empty backfield, misdirection and some short safety valve passes to backs and crossing receivers. As teams get better we want Jase to get rid of the ball on quick passes to open up the receiver, not wsit until receiver is open, because his mobility is very limited this year.

For those of you looking for an extra podcast on your long drive to see family this week. Yesterday Jon Wallin and Coach Pete were interviewed by the local Fox Sports Radio outlet. Jon starts around the 19 minute mark and Coach starts at the 47 minute mark.

Agreed. Having both backs and not knowing which one three ball is going to would be a great advantage i think.

Huntingdon looks to have a good running back and some capable receivers. We will have to lock down both to be successful. Offense will have to be more crisp. Coach fredenburg spoke strongly to this in a radio interviews he did. Hopefully the guys will need to see the importance for this focus and will bring it.

Since I doubt I'll be on the forums tomorrow or Friday, I would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! Looking forward to a good game on Saturday and hope it isn't raining (although, I'll be there no matter what).

This week's 2-Deep has All Conference/ All American FS Jefferson Fritz playing LB. After talking to some buds, the only reason we can come up with is that it puts him online for more possible plays on throwing situations.

We've had some injuries in the LB corps, so he is shoring that up as well. Still, it is definitely a surprise.

maybe it's to put him up closer to the line because of his tackling ability and to put him more into the pass defense since no one throws at him. I haven't seen how Huntingdon passes the ball, but if they throw a bunch of short passes Fritz up close may mean take aways
