I don't know if this has been posted but Caleb Eagans has committed to UMHB for his last year of eligibility. Texas A&M grad, Wide Receiver and the scoop is he has some NFL prospects post 2020, but who knows right. I'm just happy to see a possible speedy WR much like KJ Miller.

A page or 2 back there's a link to a tweet by coach Thrash that's pretty interesting concerning the speed in the WR core next year.

Interesting, after "four years at Texas A&M University on the football and track & field teams" he apparently also played at East Central University in 2018, where he appeared in 7 games but caught no passes.   2 KR for 19 yards.    Appeared in one game in 2019.   https://ecutigers.com/sports/football/roster/caleb-eagans/2296

As far as I can tell, Eagans has yet to catch a pass at the collegiate level.   In addition to the 2018 season at ECU, he was only listed on the A&M football roster in 2014 (where there were no stats, either).   When he graduated from A&M in 2018 he was listed as a T&F athlete.

Yeah I looked at that, the only info I have on him with A&M Football was his freshman year. After that it's all T&F - I came across this guys profile because of a twitter post sent my way, But with all the supposed hype, I didn't see an A&M Football lead but there was all of this posting on sites about 5th round graded in the NFL draft.. how could that be?

Well, if he stays and plays perhaps we can see - I just hope for a good fast set of hands who can deliver when it comes their way. I loved that the Cru were utilizing the TE a bit more in 2019 and hope to see that going forward, nice twist to things Ruckman came through.

Hoping to see some more Ernest Musue, as a freshman he stood out to me at least, I hope we see him for three more years. But looking to the 2019 Roster I see a whole host of WRs we haven't seen much of or any of for that matter last season, maybe a new developed corps coming up?

So with what we know as of right now, does anyone doubt the Tommy Bowden is in the #1 slot for QB, at least as this point right now? Whatcha All think?

I kind of view Eagans as an older Aaron Sims, I mean, Sims didn't even make the A&M team and look how well he has been here...

I could definitely see one of the new qb's getting some playing time, I think one is even faster than Tommy Bowden. Also, can't count out the senior transfer from St. Cloud, although, he didn't seem to get much varsity game time.

With speed like Aaron,KJ, and Caleb at receiver we should run motion on every play with the defense having to account for the jet sweep on every play. Punts and KO returns should be hold your breath moments for all the opposing teams for sure.

Getting Miller and Sims back, while adding Eagans, is huge. I felt that the biggest drop off between the 2018 and 2019 UMHB teams was with speed and explosiveness on offense. Looks like they won't be short on that this year.

With Bowden at QB with speed and hoping for a back with some speed we will be a pick your poison team to defend. Hope that off season has those lineman getting stronger  also

Haha, Hayden Haas didn't look too bad last year, he is 6'2"!

A lot to think about but it is a long time until the season rolls back around, alot can happen, but we can hope for the best.
