Is Kyle King hurt or are we just letting us get some time in?

This Austin College Video stream is brutal

Worse than the umhb one normally is? It is quite nice at the stadium lol. Not sure it was worth a 3.5 hour drive but what else did I have to do right?

Noticed it last weekend, Austin College uses the widest angle I have ever seen. You can see 30 to 50 yards of the field at a time.

Playing the 2's and 3's early I think

My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

HSU survives. 24-21 over McMurry

Seems like that was always the case when we played HSU in the late 90's with the McMurry team led by Braxton Shaver

I wonder if we see some movement in voting between Hardin Simmons and Howard Payne. Hardin Simmons beat Sul Ross 27 to 0, Howard Payne just beat them 73 to 30...  Howard Payne also beat McMurry 42 to 36 where Hardin Simmons only won 24 to 21.

I've watched Howard Payne a few games this year. They look legit on offense. However, to be the man you have to beat the man. They'll have their chance in a couple weeks.

Flip side of it, HSU should have taken care of business at UMHB. McMurry should have done the same vs HSU.

Looks like a fun back have of the season and exciting matchups to play out.

Looks to me like (to use Ralph Turner's terms) Horrid Pain's offense is super, but Hardened Sinners' defense is better!  Whether or not that affects voting probably depends on whether or not a voter subscribes to the motto that 'Defense win Championships'. ;D

Howard Payne absolutely deserves props for beating the teams on their schedule, but that schedule has not exactly been murders row. With a combined record of 7-15, HPU is going to have beat HSU to really get some credit for their season so far. They will probably get some more Top 25 votes but still not crack the actual Top 25. I will be interested to see how many votes Trinity can get who just handled previously ranked Berry 27-6.

As for HSU I could see them falling to #8 since they were literally one point ahead of St. Johns this week but would be surprised if they went much further than that. With that said, if they don't play better Howard Payne looks like they will at least put some points on the board against everybody and could be the almost yearly time that HSU loses to a team no one expected them too.

Trinity may get a few more votes but my guess is it will take a similar win against undefeated Centre next week for them to have a chance to crack the top 25, even if they did hold them to fewer yards and points on the road than UW-W did at home (and am not saying Trinity is anything close to in the ballpark of UW-W, it's just an interesting observation).

It will be interesting to see what HPU can do against HSU and UMHB.  As you say, they have been dominating but dominating inferior opponents so far.   And next they get one-win Southwestern followed by Belhaven, the only team Southwestern has defeated.

Yes, right behind Howard Payne I am very intrigued by Belhaven. Their two losses are to Southwestern which is a head scratcher and a close game to Hardin Simmons. I feel like the size they appear to have is going to be an advantage against most teams.

Here are a few photos I took of the UMHB vs Austin College game.  Only did a quick go through of the 1200 or so I took so far...

Thanks! One day I'll try and get actual field level access lol. I did a class that got me access a few years ago for a southwestern vs umhb game and it is addicting...

The father of one of the HPU backup QBs got on Twitter and told Pat that HPU should be in the top 10  :o ??? ::)
