Now *looking forward* thanks to the actual Regional Rankings Pat & company just posted - looking very much like HSU at #1 Trinity in two weeks with HSU at #5 in the region (and top-ranked non-Pool A team) plus Platteville getting in the rankings this week to make HSU's case even stronger next week (edit:  nm, they were there last week).  Will be interesting to see who gets sent to UMHB (#3) - or if the AA sends the Cru on the road.

Trinity's case at #1 will be helped further next week thanks to B-SC tying (!) for the 7th and last spot, so go from 1-0 vs RRO this week to 2-0 next.  Should counter the SOS hit they'll get from playing Sewanee.

Assuming everyone wins this week, of course.

I would suspect this year that Linfield would be considered the "Island team" since there is nobody around them and if 3 Texas teams make it into the field.  CMS is over 900 miles away, so doesn't leave too many options to avoid flights even in first round.  I am thinking HSU plays Trinity(1st rd) They bring someone in to play UMHB.  Linfield plays CMS(1st rd) UMHB vs Trinity or HSU second rd and then a 3rd round game at Linfield if it gets to that point.  Going to be hard to avoid flights but can limit them to prob one per round until 3rd round.

D O.C.

Last time UMHB visited McMinnville that Quincy was a load - and should have been used more instead of platooning quarterbacks.

Actually, the last time UMHB visited McMinnville was early in the 2017 season. TJ Josey played QB that game.

UMHB won 24-3.

Shocking. Was incredibly confused when Utica got announced.

We got our ass kicked that game.  My condolences to the Texas/Hundingdon sub-bracket of death.

When the SCAC gets its bid back, then maybe Huntingdon can get a decent draw against the SAA Pool A and not be sent to UMHB.

UMHB looked pretty good Saturday.  I've been really surprised with Kenneth Miller Jr. this year.  He is quick, elusive and has amazing vision to find the hole to run through.  Hopefully the guys come out swinging on Saturday!

On Thursday, the Texas State University System will vote to allow Sul Ross State to execute a move to NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference. The Lobos are charter members of the ASC but own two Lone Star Conference titles (1959, 1965) when the conference was NAIA. SRSU was a member of the LSC from 1960-1976.
