Not sure if you UWW underperformed, considering their second half performance against SJU last week, or if The CRU took another major stride forward this week, but as a homer, I will choose to believe it is option number two haha

If option number two is correct, I believe this sets The CRU up with a legitimate shot to challenge HSU for the ASC title as per usual except not being the favorite.

I still believe this team's ceiling is second round / quarterfinal round of the playoffs at most.

Either way, we have played much better each week and if the guys can stay together they have every reason to think they are heading in the right direction. I am convinced that a good number of our better teams would not have made it through these 3 weeks at 3-0, now I don't think they would be 0-3 but I would also agree that the ceiling for this team is not that of our best teams either.

UMHB will be dangerous in the ASC. If that is the #4 team in D3 then UMHB is a dark horse at 0-3 to make some noise. Young and athletic. A Team like that, what they displayed today, shows they can play with anyone. Stay faithful CRU and don't worry about the rankings. That was a tough gauntlet for pre-conference. Goodluck. Tough loss, but that was tremendous growth against a tough top 5 opponent.

Not having 3 of top 4 WR threats, and some holding calls changed the 3Q. STJ is a lot closer than that game showed. Why bring R6 to R3? Need an ego boost or something?

Not having 3 of 4 WR threats did little for their defense. No ego boost needed here. That game was never close except for parts of the second quarter when UWW gifted them 14 points.

Either way, congrats to UWW on a quality road win today over an upcoming CRU team finding themselves. Not here to argue "ifs and buts," but happy to see some quality D3 matchups early on in the season. Now on to the conference gauntlets.

How does one justify the head coach sitting up in press box and not down on the field?

In fairness, a lot of that probably all depends on the personalities, assistant coaches and circumstances. Linfield won three national titles with head coach Ad Rutschman spending games in the press box. Not saying it's the right arrangement in every case, just that it isn't necessarily always the wrong thing to do.

That said, much respect to UMHB that's been earned from their series with the 'Cats. The Cru will get it figured out.

This is a straw man.  It's not super common, but HCs sometimes operate from the booth.  It's fine.

Unfortunately injuries are part of the game. Endicott is a good team. Either a lot better than I expected or Hardin-Simmons is not as good as I thought. Probably both to be fair...
