Weak Safety

Good luck to all ASC teams this weekend.  Hope everyone has an injury free game.  Thanks to all the Seniors in the ASC for a great season of football.

While perusing "Post Patterns," I realized something that is just too funny...  :D  When it is "MY" team that is up big, "WE" are just playing hard. When it is "ANY OTHER" team that is up big, "THEY" are running up the score.   :D

Whatever helps one sleep at night, I suppose.  :D

Congratulations to UMHB, the ASC Conference Champions!

I think it was looking as if UMHB would get the home game but now with the conference championship will they have to travel to Trinity instead?

Ron Boerger

Wow, another trip to San Antonio.  I'm sure the Tigers aren't too excited to hear they have to face UMHB again in the first round.   No offense to HSU, but you'd rather face a team with a third-string QB starting than the defending national runner-up.    Makes my decision for what game to cover a lot easier.

Bill McCabe

From what everyone is saying, I would expect to play in San Antonio next week.  I don't think that really matters, however.  You still have to beat Trinity at some point.

Bill McCabe

Ron, what is your initial thought on Trinity-UMHB?

dballa

Congrats to TLU and Salinas on the win tonight.  We would have to get lucky now to have 2 teams in the playoffs.  Good luck to UMHB win it all.

Man, I just don't know how Trinity is going to keep up with UMHB.  They are big and fast and UMHB finally got the San Antonio monkey off their backs last year.

Trinity has a better defense this year than last, but the offense lags a bit.

Bill McCabe

Ron, I would think Trinity would relish another game with UMHB, especially with the home field.  Last year's game was close for a long time.  My early impression is that the game will come down to how well UMHB can deal with Trinity's offense.

Wouldn't it be something if the NCAA surprised us with a different match up? :)

Toby Taff

I'm stunned, and have very little to say,  I predict a rather gloomy feel in the halls next week.  I'll keep hoping for 2 teams to go, but know that that is a very long shot right now.  SO, CONGRATS CRU, ASC Conference champs!  Let's roll back tp Salem!
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

It would be really nice if the AA gave both schools the home game (against the seeds they deserve) but we both know it'll never happen.
