Ron, I would think Trinity would relish another game with UMHB, especially with the home field.  Last year's game was close for a long time.  My early impression is that the game will come down to how well UMHB can deal with Trinity's offense.
Bill,
I've have to think that TU is tired of seeing Crusader Purlpe and Gold, and if the Cru D keeps rolling, that game could be fun to watch.  Too bad I can't get to Trinity (assuming they play).
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Wouldn't it be something if the NCAA surprised us with a different match up? :)

It would be really nice if the AA gave both schools the home game (against the seeds they deserve) but we both know it'll never happen.
Smells like '03 to me! One of these days I'm going to be sitting in the rocker, grandkid on my knee, saying "I remember how the AA screwed the football world in 03 and 05 by making 2 top ten teams play in the first round!"

Hey, I've got an idea for a real money saver......8-2 HSU at 9-0 Trinity, Round 1.   ;D

From the UMHB web site:

The Crusaders did not play a starter in the second half and every player in uniform on the trip appeared in the game. UMHB rolled up 644 yards of total offense with 254 of those coming through the air. The Crusaders held AC to 146 yards of total offense and just 38 yards rushing. UMHB also posted its second straight shut out and third of the season and the Crusaders have a streak of 11 straight scoreless quarters.

I don't think every school that won big today can include the underlined phrase in their releases  ;). Yeah, the "big boys" are tuning up for the playoffs. Yes indeed.

You reckon the SID has been reading Post Patterns?  Hilarious that was included in the writeup.

It's too bad he felt the need to include it. As I said earlier, for too many on PP, when "MY" team wins big, "WE" are just playing hard. When "ANY OTHER" team is up big, "THEY" are running up the score.

From the UMHB web site:

Starters:

POS  ## DEFENSE
DE   43 Shawnn Williams
DT   99 Ryan Mosley
DT   98 Elex Reed
DE   97 Andrew Judy
WLB  8  Jerrell Freeman
MLB  47 Stephen Morton
SLB  30 Ricky Lopez
CB   9  Nick McPhaul
FS   5  Josh Kubiak
CB   20 RoJo Johnson

And from the 3rd quarter:

Who's gonna be the one to break the news to Andrew Judy that he really wasn't the starter?  ;)

Proudly supporting both Linfield & UMHB!

Man, UMHBalum-n-Catland, you must be living right if Linfield and UMHB are your teams! Not a shabby pair.  ;D

And then you have roocru who after today has got to be feeling like he scored a touchdown but got kicked in the groin while crossing the goal line.  :D

I live in McMinnville. I moved to Oregon from Central Texas in June of 1999. I have followed Linfield since my arrival. They have a great tradition. I cheered them both on last year until they met in the Stagg, and then I had to pull for my alma mater.

The Linfield players are great, fun to watch and very well coached. The fans that I know are wonderful. They gave me a good natured ribbing at the first home game this year, but they have a lot of respect for UMHB.

Weak Safety,

After the last four years, I learned to wear a cup in my jock strap.   ;D ;D ;D

Actually, Andrew Judy is a freshman filling in for William Dewease. Who was hurt last week and who's father had bypass surgery on friday. So the freshman fill in (who is a great player, and will be a stand out player in years to come. ) played in the second half. I'm glad you know so much about UMHB's football team. On to more important notes....
Winning a conference championship must be so sweet for Coach Fred, especially after such a hard week.  Great Job!!!  Go CRU!!!
