Print up the shirts, in purple please.  The couch cru wore some shade of brown to the HSU game.  Didn't much care for that! :)

In reference to the facilities at umhb. The field is brand new this season it is the newest stuff. The stands at umhb are big enough on both sides to accomodate all fans. I think it holds like 6,000. So yeah not much reason there to not let umhb have the home game in the 2nd round.

So, roocru, if my team gets to meet your team,(and that's a big if, I'll grant you), we have to fly to Texas.  So my question is this, if I can pay for the ticket down, I'll have to find accomodations somewhere.  If I were to bring brownies????

Olinemom,

If we get to play I'll make sure that it happens.  :)

Just don't let llamaguy, the kid, skoaltrain or any else in the Stone Station crew think they can jump on that bandwagon.   ;D

I wom't--they can probably afford a hotel, but I teach!!  The best of luck for this coming Saturday.  I've seen Trinity play before.  They came up here and beat us in the snow several years ago.  Go for it!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

I think the stands hold over 8,000.  At least those are numbers I remember from when BISD built the stadium.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Bill McCabe

The web site says 8,000 for the stadium.  It is a wonderful facility.

Those shirts were horrible.  I understand they had significance, but ew! Brown with a Yellow llama?

The stadium is fine.  The issue is that UMHB is a 3 seed and Wesley a 2 seed.   Look at the bright side, if you get past Trinity both Wesley and Ferrum have already lost games by 4x-next to nothing margins.  How much of a challenge will it be to beat one of them?  Then you would get the HF game in the semis, having eliminated both seeds above you.

UMHB travels very well.  I wish they didn't have to all the time (and had they won all their games this year they, not Trinity, would have easily been the #1 seed).

So Ron, if UMHB and Ferrum play, is UMHB at home?  I said I was having trouble with this. :)

Ron Boerger

That is my GUESS.  I am sure Pat will be along later today to correct me if necessary   ;D

Stupid last second TD in Brownwood! >:(  ;)

mhb8904, that last second TD by HPU was a lot like the ETBU drive in 2003.  At least this one didn't keep us out of the playoffs.

CONGRATS to all my boys playing for the CRU on a well deserved CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!   I couldnt believe the news when roocru told me last night.

If i was still playing, i wouldnt have it any other way but to play Trinity in the first round AT Trinity... it's a tradition now!  I have talked to a few players and they all feel the same way too.   Have a great week of practice boys and lets take that Black Flag from those Tigers again!!!

GO CRU!!! GO KNIGHTS!!!
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

If UMHB and Linfield meet in the semi's, I got the tailgater going here in Catland. And, if anyone needs a place to stay or a ride from/to the airport, let me know, I will do all I can to accomodate!

I saw the Crusaders against HSU, and TU against Millsaps.  After careful consideration and deliberation, it is my assessment that y'all are just so much bigger than we are.  My alma mater is clearly the underdog in my mind.  Crusaders, just please don't kill us.  Use the same game plan that you had against Howard Payne and it should be a good ball game.

Say hello to your second round opponent for us.
