Josh,

I hope you don't mind me answering for Bill.  I took last year's two deep chart and made some changes to reflect the class.  Strikethroughs were last years' seniors.  Red means this years' seniors, green is this years' juniors and black is this years' sophs.  I am still not sure about Stephen Morton at LB.  Last I heard was that although he still has a year of eligibility due to medical redshirt, he was going to go ahead and graduate.  He is an outstanding student!

I think I have all the classes right but if anyone has a correction feel free to do so.

Thanks, roocru.  Any thoughts on the outlook for the running game with so much experience being lost to graduation on the O-Line?

PS--Check you PMs.

Josh - ill compromise on the field turf but how about some new lights for some night games?

Josh Bowerman

That sound fair enough to me, Brad!

Josh,

UMHB had to do the same thing last year except two of those seniors they had to replace were All-Americans in some polls.  They seem to have been mostly seniors in the line each year with junior backups and an occasional really good youngster thrown in the mix.  They also do an excellent job during the season to make sure their subs get a lot of quality playing time.  I think their style of play (the running game), is a strong draw to a lot of offensive linemen they recruit as well.

I think the place they are looking for the most help in is LB's and CB's.  They have some good ones but could really use some quality backups and new blood in those areas.

Overall, I still don't see a huge talent loss or dropoff.

PS;  I will respond to your PM later when I can get some time to develop some thoughts in those areas and put them on paper.

Thanks, roocru.  I'm sure it goes without saying, the rest of the ASC is happy to see P.J. Williams graduate!   :)

roocru,

just because stephen graduates doesn't mean he can't play.  If he works on a master's at MHB he can use that year of eligibility.  I talked to Jordan Neal tonight and next fall he'll be a full time MDiv student and playing QB at HSU.  So if he wants to play, he can make it happen without missing graduation.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

roocru

mhb94,

I was trying to make that same point.  It is up to him and last I heard he was still making that decision.  To play another year on a bad knee or to devote time to graduate studies?  It is his call and I wish him the best whatever he decides !!

minni - you missed a great time.  I got to see a few younger cowboys.  It was quite enjoyable.

In regards to the playing ball and doing grad school.  Its not hard.  Makes you a little tired sometimes.  But not hard at all.

Josh Bowerman,

Please check your PM's.

I feel the biggest hole UHMB has to fill is the loss of Rojo at SS. Who takes his spot anybody know? And also I know it has been said already about UMHB's games next year but how big of a game could that Whitewater game be it could be 2 top 5 teams playing against each other. Also HSU and HPU should be strong the ASC is now a dog fight conference.

dballa, that press release and a photo would make a great off-season story for the front of the D3football page.  I hope the SID can do that.

View the front page, Colorado College will become the SCAC's eighth football school, likely in '07-'08 (the front page may not say that, but CC's web site does).  Pat says it's not quite that cut-and-dried.

Whenever the change occurs, that will mean one less non-conference game for Austin and Trinity.
