Here's an article about the Crusader Defense from the temple paper.

No doubt UMHB has a great defense.  That has been their strength.  When they perform well, UMHB wins.  Their speed is incredible.

Ralph,

You mentioned this over on the SCAC board so let's go ahead and bring it over here.  What is the effect of the cancelled HSU/LC game with regard to standings.

As I remember it, before HSU lost to TLU in the last game, it looked like HSU lost to UMHB and yet still would advance as the ASC champion due to the cancelled game.  Both teams looked like they would have one loss and even though HSU's loss was to UMHB, they would advance because they had one more win than UMHB because of the cancellation.

I know I made this clear as mud,   ??? but it is something to think about with the tables being reversed now.  Just fodder for discussion.  ;)
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Josh Bowerman

Yup.  The difference between a .900 winning percentage and a .888 winning percentage.

Both situations resonate poorly with me.  If missing a game causes a team to miss out on the Championship because of winning percentage something needs to be addressed.  Either games need to be postponed and made up or continued, or something other than winning percentage needs to be considered in those cases.  I don't know what, but something.  I'd hate to see HSU get jobbed out of a conference championship if both they and UMHB finished w/ 1 loss and HSU beat MHB the same as I hated the thought of that happening to the Cru last year.

Right now, the best solution is to win all of your games.

They should have just done what Trinity and Depauw(sp?) did and played out the game the next day.  No conference football game should ever be cancelled.

I'm with you here.  Win out and you become the champs.

I know you are not talking about the secondary.

UMHB has great rushing D. (awesome).

Secondary could not stay with 1 of our 4 starting receivers.

Bill McCabe

You only scored 15 points.   They must have stayed with somebody.

CNULifer

No they didn't.  I know it sounds like whining so please look past it.  Like I said the D is awesome.  But, 2 long passes were called back.  and on a few other occassions long passes were dropped.  Hey again, I do not want to see the (#2 rushing in Country) UMHB D again.   or Rowans (#1 rushing D for that matter).

CNULifer

On the board a while back someone said there were injuries to 2 corners for UMHB.  Maybe that explains what I saw.  If so then that D is incredible.  I would love to see them play ROWAN in their first game of the season.

Bill McCabe

CNU scored 15 points.  No credit for drops or penalties.
