Didn't this game happen like, three-four weeks ago?  Give it up already.

CNU got a nice win over a good team.  Win a playoff game after a first rounder, then the Captains can crow a little bit, OK?

Dude, not crowing.

I was saying that UMHB is really good.  If DB's were hurt, then they are even better once they get back.  I don't know that CNU even will go to Post season this year.

I just hope that UMHB plays Rowan in the Playoffs, because I think it would be something special to see.  Like a USC/Texas or Ohio St./Auburn or something like that.  2 very good D's

CNU scored 15 points.  No credit for drops or penalties.
No Credit for 1000 miles on first game of year either.

No doubt UMHB has a great defense.  That has been their strength.  When they perform well, UMHB wins.  Their speed is incredible.

I know you are not talking about the secondary.

UMHB has great rushing D. (awesome).

Secondary could not stay with 1 of our 4 starting receivers.

CNULifer, I am a McMurry grad, so no purple-white-and-gold blood here.

I would love to see CNU host UMHB in the playoffs this year.  If they do, I firmly believe that the game will have a different outcome.

I think that the advantage on Game 1 vs Game 2 is about 10 points.  Had you not caused the turnover in that last series, you would have probably lost.

As for the HSU-LC cancellation, all comments above are correct:

UMHB beats HSU

ASC percentage:

UMHB 8-0 = 1.000; UMHB gets Pool A bid
HSU 6-1 = .857;

South Region:

UMHB wins out:  9-1 South Region .900 and Pool A bid.
HSU wins out except UMHB:  8-1 South Region record .889 --Top Candidate for a Pool C bid.  (The Linfield and UW-SP games are in-region due to the new criteria.  Great Scheduling, HSU!  You scheduled yourself into the playoffs).

HSU beats UMHB

ASC percentage:

HSU 7-0 1.000.  Pool A bid.
UMHB 7-1 .875.  Falls to Pool C.

South Region Record.

HSU 9-0 1.000 (In-region) -- High probabilty of #1 or #2 seed.  Competition at this time for the seeding is:

--CNU, which is currently undefeated in conference play amd probably ends up 9-0 "in Region".   The non-region loss to Rowan doesn't impact this.  The committee would then look at strength of (South Region) schedule, the QOWI.

--Trinity, the SCAC Pool A, which has a loss to TLU, a common opponent, not good.  They might even have to travel to a UMHB or a HSU because of the loss to a common opponent.

-- and Bridgewater (ODAC Pool A bid).  We will need to compare the QOWI's (Quality of Wins Index) between HSU and BC (and CNU for theat matter).

--I really don't think that the Centennial will impact seeding.

--I forgot about Wesley.  Let's see if they ship them to the East!

UMHB 8-2 .800  (In-region record is 8-2)  -- Key win over UW-Whitewater would help in Pool C criteria.  If I were on the committee, and I saw a win over a  Whitewater (9-1 overall/ 8-1 West Region Record), then I would give one of the 7 Pool C bids to UMHB.

Bill McCabe

Ralph,  The Whitewater game for UMHB is in region?

CNULifer

Had you not caused the turnover in that last series, you would have probably lost.

Does that mean that if the 2 TD's were not called back, that the score would have been 29-17 CNU wins by double digits.

CNULifer

By my count that would be a 12 point margin, covering your game 1, game 2 scenario.

CNULifer

It is all hearsay anyway.  CNU is going to have tough time even getting to Playoffs.  We always seem to stub toe somewhere.  I am rooting for UMHB to get to ROWAN.  That would mean a night stay in atlantic city for me and then an awesome football game.

CNULifer

To all you BOZO's out there who care a little too much.

UMHB has a tough road to the playoffs with HSU and Whitewater still on the schedule, plus the others.  The HSU game is a must in my mind.

Yes.

Bill, yes!  See Pat's link!

The Geographic Region is a great boon to us ASC fans.  Now we can go west and pick up in-region games.

In the past 8 years, we ASC teams have played UW-allcomers, Menlo, Willamette, Chapman and Colorado College that are now considered in-region.

I will make the bold prediction that if UMHB goes 8-2 with a win over UW-Whitewater, they get a Pool C bid.

CNULifer, I am not hitting you with bad karma (Smites).

I honestly believe that if we see UMHB at CNU in the playoffs, that UMHB will win.

Bill McCabe

Ralph,  I don't trust the committee.  It would be better for UMHB to beat HSU.  What if HSU has 1 loss, what are your thoughts?

Good point, Bill!
