The passing game will go as far as the receivers take it.  I remember noticing last year that the HSU receivers like to try to run around guys in search of big yardage rather than get upfield and get the first down.  They also get gator arms.  That is a totally objective observation by the way.  Last year the receivers were not very tough against a very tough group.

Last year the HSU QBs spent most of the game trying to get away from the UMHB pass rush.  If they can give Jordan time to throw, he can be deadly.  Should be very interesting.

I see the big fellas upfront handling the UMHB guys.  I think this year's offensive is not as big as years past but neither is the defensive line of UMHB.  I think J Neal will have the time he needs to get his passes off.  But thats not to say he wont have to scramble some, but that is also a strength he has is running with the ball.  Look for a receiver that has been flying under the radar for HSU.  Pat (not Coleman) is a big target and could be a got to option for Jordan, he can go up and get the ball.  He is not the speed of carillio or galusha but he has long arms.  he is a big PJ.

And i think this is a shootout also.  Yea they score in 20's in the first half.

hello everyone....i am new to post patterns mainly bc i just recently finished playing at hsu...not because of graduation but bc of injury.... so i have a pretty good knowledge of HSU football...i was on the sidelines last year of the hsu umhb game last year and unfortunately didnt get to play bc the first string didnt leave the field...but i agree with what people have said about umhb being able to put a lot of points on the board without having to have a lot of big plays...this year should be a tough game but from an ex-olineman for HSU i feel this years oline has a vendetta to prove that they arent the guys that everyone saw last year...people fail to see that umhb brought at least 6 guys a play and 7 or 8 a bunch of times...so expect to see a battle up front from the big guys...looking forward to talking on here more and hope to see an awesome game in belton on saturday

minni- i hear you met my brother down in good ole lubbock a few weekends ago...

Welcome to the board.  I spoke with jordan after class today and in typical J Neal fashion he's humble and respectful of the MHB players.

To anyone going to the game this weekend....

Are you sitting home side or visitor side?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

ya jordan is my roomate so i talk to him just about every night about everything to do with football and he was definitely still impressed with umhb defense and he would be the last one to say anything disrespectful of another team he has had nothing but good things to say about umhb...i feel he will come out firing this weekend

HSU vs. UMHB will be a shootout this year as some of you have already said.  HSU is going to have to be a little more solid up front deffensively to slow down UMHB, but i think they'll get the job done.

I actually think if the UMHB deffense puts as many guys in the box this year as they did last year they'll get burned.  HSU has too many weapons catching the ball and obviously a very experienced QB that will be able make a blitzing defense pay.

Also, hats off to a surprisingly potent MC offense.  I was impressed with how well they moved the ball through the air, but  HSU was just too strong in the end.

Thanks HSUTD73.  We pray for him everyday.  I know that he loves to be a Cowboy.  Just like all the other players.  What a great program and college for that matter.  It means a lot to get a post like yours...thanks.

I think I'm sitting visitors side too.  Better seats, cheaper price ;D  I'll be the one wearing the Purple Crush t-shirt.  Look forward to meeting you.

I am driving up for the game and I think my wife will be there too.  Bill, hope to see you again.
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Bill McCabe

roocru,  Ryan and I will be there.  Not sure if my wife is coming or not.  We hope to see a great game and a UMHB win.  How did you do on the radio?
