My sister listened and said I was great.   ::)  Seriously, I don't know how good I was but I had a ball !!  Maybe I can find the time to listen to the archive version in the near future !!

Its amazing that the UMHB defense is getting so much grief on this board.  They have given up 41 points in 4 games.  You're not going to lose many games giving up 10 points per game.

Im not sure how the defense is going to play the Cowboys this week.  I have not seen HSU or UMHB play this year so I really don't have any personal insight as to what I would do or think UMHB would do.  However, from what I have heard about both teams and what I know from playing with UMHB and against HSU and some of their players such as Neal, Galusha and a few others....

--- I still concentrate on stopping their run game
--- I have a good, safe, base coverage scheme that I can always go to if getting hurt by the pass, but still keep the aggressive style run defense
--- I have a different blitz package that last year's.  I bring CONTROLLED blitzes and some line stunts to give the HSU O line some different looks, trying to get pressure, but I am still  careful not to let Neal flush out of the pocket and hurt you like he can.  He is definitely not like the quarterback UMHB faced last year.

By doing this, I am still able to establish my run defense that is already there, get some pressure on the QB, but use my team defensive speed to beat HSU and not gamble by bringing 6 everytime and give up the big play.

I agree with Bill, UMHB's defense has not only done very well this year, but they have also given their offense a short field over and over again during the course of their games which goes a LONG way towards helping your team with the ballgame.  And when you have the short field, they have the long field.
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Anyone want to give their thoughts on the upcoming Texas/Oklahoma game?

(Too bad Oklahoma doesn't have a "Hatfield" to go with the Longhorn's Colt McCoy--ba dumm bumm). :D

Not unless they join the ASC!

Just a reminder that I'll be photographing the HSU/UMHB game on Saturday on behalf of d3football.com.

If any parents/friends/players have any special photography requests, please be sure to send me a private message or email me offline, and I'll do my best to make sure I accommodate them.

Looking forward to a fun day--here's hoping we have a well-played game with no injuries!

Texas vs. OU
Peterson will have around 200 yards, but Texas will win by 10

OU is down thanks to Bomar's dumbass

Watch out for the HSU defense!!!!!  Giving up 41 points against nobody is pretty good i guess!!

hsutd73

from a guy who played on the team the past two years  ;)...HSU is better offensively and has been at times defensively and can be if they stay healthy so this weekend should be a pretty competitive game and i hope both teams come ready to play ;

minni, they just play who is on the schedule, same as HSU.  41 points allowed in 4 games is pretty good.

Bill -- Ill agree with that but they still havent played anyone
