Ralph, I remember the crowd.  Was there a weird play in that game? A couple of years ago there were over 40,000 for the state game at Rice Stadium.  Woodlands and North Shore?

I don't remember a weird play.

The weird play that I remember was in the Tyler John Tyler/Plano East 1994 game when my friend Mike Zofutto "was gonna be sick".

Here's a major question (for me, anyway):

If I land at Austin, Saturday at 10:42 am, can I get to the game before kickoff?
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

Roocru,
I have a slight correction to your list of scores reflecting the scores between HSU and UMHB.  UMHB won in 2003.  The score was correct 43 (UMHB) to 36 (HSU) but the Cru won the game.  Trust me I was on the field and remember making the first down to seal the victory.  I figure it was probably just a typo, but any chance to remind HSU fans of the first time that we beat them in Abilene is always fun.   ;) :) ;D .  Anyways thanks for your continued support.  Go Cru and take care of the Presidents like in '04.

Sorry,  I have made corrections.  Series record is 6 and 4.

roocru, not to beat a dead horse, but the series record is REALLY 6---5  (UMHB).  You forgot the first game in 1998.  The score was 56-9 with HSU winning.  (Reference:  HSU Media Guide.)

Submitted only for the search for truth!  (Not to get anyone upset...just for the record!)

Go ASC/UMHB...all the way!

And Zmotion... thank you for your information on next year and comments on this year as well!

Assuming the flight is on time you should be able to get there at about kickoff time.  It's about 70 miles.

I recommend you bypass downtown Austin by taking US183 north to I-35.   It's a few more miles but traffic downtown is screwed up so often that the extra 5 minutes will probably pay off, and especially if there is a UT game.

Hey Bob, I don't think you will have enough time. It will be close. For some reason traffic is always bad in Austin no matter what the time.
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

BfB,  I think the Texas/Texas A&M game is Friday.  In fact, I'm sure of it.  We (WJPA) are
carrying that game (Sports USA Radio Network)...

Thanks for the advice.

Now, anybody want to make a few bucks picking up the visiting radio guy at the airport? ? ?

In a police cruiser? :)

You're going to be right up against it but if your flight is on time and you get gold club reservations to zip out of the rental or get picked up you have a fighting chance.

Ask for a long anthem. Get the W&J players to slow up the coin toss, etc. :)

Congratulations to the CRU!!!

Just wanted you guys to know that CruAlum39 won his game today 21-7.  His team will play the winner of Houston Furr and Houston Davis next week at 1:00 pm at Delmar Stadium in Houston!!! ;D ;D ;D

I think I got a perfect score in the pickems and an extra point for the UMHB/HSU point spread. ;D  ;D It would have been another great weekend except that all three of my district schools in the playoff lost last night.  :( :(

Go Roos!!  Go Cru!!!  Go Caney Creek Panthers !!!!!

Congrats to the Cru and th Crualum39's kids!!!  I am sorry that your 3 teams didn't win as well.  Our Va. teams didn't fare so well either.  But still hoping to see you at the Stagg Bowl on Dec. 16.  I have to brag a bit.  The nephew, Luke, who was in the talent contest Saturday night won it!!  So the family is all pleased!!  He gets to sing at the Quest for the Stars Christmas concert in beautiful downtown Luray, which is on Dec. 16 when as you know I have already got plans--I'm Stagg Bowl Bound!!  Oh well, his parents will have to tape that performance. ;D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

No problem DSC.  I was using the D3football schools record page and it begins in 1999. :)
If you don't mind I'm tired of editing that post. ;)

Bob.Gregg, don't check any bags or there will be no way.  If your flight is on time and you can get out of the terminal quickly, I think you can get there about kick off.

Bill McCabe

Congratulations to Jordan Neal for being named a Gagliardi finalist.  I hope he can bring home the award.  He is very deserving of this honor.  Good luck.

Bill McCabe

Does anyone know anything about W&J?  Offense?  Defense?

TX2OK

Neal for Gagliardi?  Good player but couldnt win the big game.

How come Kubiak is not a finalist?

Bill McCabe

TX2OK, Neal did everything he could to win the big game.  He is the best QB, outside of Elliot, that the Cru has faced in the past 4 years.  Not winning the big game should not impact an individual.  He didn't lose the game.
