Thanks Roocru.  At least SMU or Rice will be in a bowl guaranteed after Saturday.  Who would have thought that at the beginning of the year.

Happy thanksgiving everyone!  Here's an intereting article from the Temple paper.

My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Bill McCabe

I feel much better about Saturday's game.  Roocru has picked UMHB by +26!!!  :D  Weren't you perfect last week?

Just trying to catch up with Gray Fox on the pickem Board.  ;D ;D

Happy Thanksgiving to all and especially those troops overseas !!

Same to you roocru......and our troops had the traditional thanksgiving dinner, which according to my son, was like eating at Luby's!  not exactly home cooking but better than their usual rations!  Now all he wants is another UMHB win on Saturday.

One other thing that was fun about today's Thanksgiving Dallas Cowboy football game was to see the Cowblys dominating an opponent, just like the good old days of Dandy Don, Craig Morton, remember Clint Longley in 1974 (those who are old enough) Roger the Dodger, Troy Aikman, even Danny White. ;)

I was afraid that is what it would look like.  Brrrrr! If we get that far, I'm not sure I have the right clothes.  It doesn't look like T-shirts and shorts weather like last week in Belton.

That tarp was a waste of money.  :) The field froze again as soon as they took it off anyway.
Be warned! The best thing the Cru should take (besides warm cloths) are old style turf shoes, so you can stand up when that rink does freeze!

Conrad, I just hope we get that far.  Still have to win Saturday and then again the next week.

Ya, the tarp and heaters still couldn't stand up to the -10 degress temps but it helped alittle.  Biggest problem was the ice that developed along the sidelines as a result of the process.  But Bill is right.  We can revisit this topic on the 3rd if both teams keep winning!  We both still have formidible teams to get past.

Kudos to the OLiners for doing a fantastic job so that Tony Romo could play so well!!  Without the O's, Romo's on the ground a lot :):):)  While I'm at it, you're 3-8 Coach John Gruden. Like I told you in September, you are 1 linebacker short of a good defense.  I wouldn't want to have the 23rd ranked defense in football, but that was your choice.  And you are going down, down, down just as I told you you would. Too bad as you are my favorite coach.  But you shouldn't have done that to my Jermaine.  PS   a win over Washington this year really doesn't count as a win:):):)
Sorry, guys.  I just had to say what I was thinking about yesterday's game!!  I surely think you can beat W&J.  Play your kind of football.  Don't make mistakes and I think a win by 35 is very possible.  :)  ;) :D ;D ;D

Speaking of o-lines, how about A&M's on the drive to take the lead in the 4th quarter.  They had the ball almost 9 minutes.  I would love to see UMHB control the ball like that tomorrow.

Olinemom, We Cowboy fans finally go to see one of our offensive linemen make the Hall of Fame...Rayfield Wright.

How many multi-year All-Pros has Dallas had that were just as good as Rayfield and are not there? ???

A whole burnch, cause they protected all those great QBs that you mentioned on an earlier post.  I can remember gettting beaten in the last 16 seconds many times by Dallas and somebody had to be keeping the Over the Hill gang from Troy and Rodger etc.   ;D ;D ;D.  Yesterday, however, I was cheering for Romo because I am unhappy with Gruden and his choice of players, who, at least defensively, are not playing very well.  Revenge is best over a long, long long season.  May it continue!!!!!!
And may UMHB win and Crualum39's kids, too!!  I suppose those 2 teams both play tomorrow?
