Ralph---

It's no longer football in November.  It's football in December now baby!
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Josh, that is a great picture of Jordan Neal on the front of D3 football.  I hope the lack of his GPA does not hurt his chances for the Gagliardi Award.

Josh Bowerman

Thank you, Bill.  Here's a link to my favorite shot of Jordan from my DIII shoots this season:

My guess is that, if anything hurts his Gagliardi candidacy, it's the fact that he's a sixth-year senior in graduate school.  And where the graduate GPA is baffles me...HSU certainly kept track of my graduate GPA when I took courses at that level there!

Nice Roocru.  Where are you going to be this weekend?  We are going deer hunting so I will be sitting on a high hill with my cell phone to my youngest son getting updates on the game.

I read the sketches of the 10 Gagliardi Finalists.  Just my opinion...

Chad Otte looks my choice...3.75 GPA in Biology/Pre-Med or
Josh Brehm 3.75 Business/Psychology.

I tend to favor the student-athletes with the more challenging academic loads.
Ralph,
Are you saying being an MDiv student is not as demanding as biology/premed or business/psychology?  I have a minor in biology (29 hrs jsut for kicks) and I promise the work load for most of my seminary classes is more demanding than any bio class I took.  To further my argument, when I started at Logsdon we had a student that was finishing up his last year in seminary who had been an orthopedic surgeon previously.  His surgical career ended when he developed macular degeneration.  David told me in a theology class that seminary was far more difficult than medical school was because rather than learning by repition and practice he had to synthesize ideas.
mhb8904, I think that I could handle Seminary relatively easily.  I had 18 hours in the Religion Department at McMurry.

I can handle most blood and gore, but "human carpentry" does get to me, a little bit. :)

The blood and gore thing is easy for me to handle as well.  The most disturbing thing I have ever experienced, however, is when my wife had our oldest daughter.  She needed an emergency c-section because my daughter wouldn't engage the birth canal (real big head).  She hemorrhaged during the c-section, which I was watching because the anesthesiologist invited me to stand and watch, and had 4 Ob.s trying to stop the bleeding.  So I'm watching everything they're doing and trying my best to act like nothing is wrong.  My wife never knew there was a problem until she awoke in the ICU after passing out from loss of blood.  The disturbing part was not what I saw though, it was that this was my wife.  If it had been anyone else, it would have just been cool to watch.

You can understand a statement that I do not watch horror flicks.  I can live real terror in my daily life!

I am glad she had competent physicians caring for her. :)

Ralph,

Scott & White Hopsital has great physicians!  The best part of the story (other than everything ultimately working out) is that our family doc, who was delivering the baby until everything blew up, was a Christian (that's one reason he was our family doctor) and after I left with my daughter and "let" the emotion of the situation out, his first words were, can I pray for you.  After prayer, he laid out exactly what was going on, most of which I knew because I'd watched it, and the course of action being taken.  Out of the five steps to be taken before the hysterectomy, she went through four.  She finally responded to #5.

The second best thing was that she worked for the state and had great insurance and the whole experience from the time we discovered she was pregnant cost us the $5 copay for the pregnancy test.  Everything after the positve was 100% covered. ;)
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Donny Gray was named head coach at McMurry University. Good luck, sure would love to see them competing again!

CruAlum39 has his playoff game at 1:00 pm in Pasadena Memorial Stadium so I'll be in the stands there.  I guess I'll have to wait until I get to my mother-in-law's home in Houston after the game to get some scores. :(
