Just wanted to see if any of you posters were planning on making it out to the Stagg Bowl.  roocru and I have our tickets and are ready to go!!!  Sure wish I was watching UMHB that day, but it ought to make for a great experience once again. (except this time it will be from the stands).   :(

If we are building D3 traditions, then a Stagg Bowl alumni event may be one to consider.

I may shoot for making the stagg next year.  I graduate in may and may actually have a real job so I can afford to travel. ;)

Of course, I may be working on my second Master's Degree and still a poor student with no hope of affording a ticket and feeding the family. :P
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Dr. Turner, are you sure you weren't a referee? :)

Yeah he was the player that was hurt at the game, I am not sure the the exact injury but the UMHB website said that because of his "severe knee injury" he will not be able to play.

Also, I was wondering how many posters were at the Wesley game? I was going to post before leaving for the game to possibly meet some of yall, but lost track of time. If you were there I am sure you saw me in the vistors section, because I was the only one  with body paint covering a large percentage of my body.

My son said that when he saw him walk off that he thought it could be an ACL. He had one and says as soon as they straighten then knee the pain kinda goes away. The miniscus(sic) is the painful part .

I actually ref'fed Under-8 and Under-6 soccer, breaking new linesmen and "lined" under 8 and under 10 games, breaking in younger refs.  I really enjoyed working with that age group.

The Lake Highlands Soccer Association in Dallas was very good about cultivating new refs.  Having an adult "line" the more challenging teams seemed to keep some of the parents more restrained.

My philosophy when I had a teenager learning to "ref" or "line" was that that was a development position as well.  It behooved the parents to let the teenager learn, because there was a high probablitly that their own child was going to be there in about 4-6 more years. ;)

I think that's a great idea, and I'd be willing to pay up to $2 a plate. ;D.  That might be a great way to get attendance even higher at the Stagg Bowl and create an even better atmosphere at the game.  Many very respectful fans that come to watch a great football game and reminisce of their experience with like minded individuals.  I'd be up for it every year that my team wasn't playing in the high school State Championship ( I hope I would never be able to attend). :D

So who'd it gonna be this year?  MUC and WWW rematch?
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Since there are a bunch of coaches on here in Texas I would like to ask if any of yall will have any jobs opening this spring? If you do I would like to be given the chance to apply for some. I am in my 3rd year right now, 2nd year in East Texas and I would like to get out. I am certified in p.e. but I am taking the History test this saturday.

We have been doing that for 2 years now! I have already obtained RSVPs from fans from atleast 10 D3 schools who will be at the Stagg tailgate this year. ;)

The Stagg Bowl is the D3 Nat'l Convention for D3 fans! Kickoff mixer on Friday night at the Corn Beef & Co. then the meetings start promptly in the Salem Stadium parkinglot at 9am Saturday morning. The grand finale and closing ceremony are from 4-7pm with the Walnut & Bronze closing another great D3 Football season. ;D

ps. There will be a "Roll Call" for D3 posters at Stone Station this year. Make sure to stop by and sign the list if you are there.
