On that chart, the lowest-counting sport is worth half of the highest-counting sport. I imagine a ratio of four-to-one would raise some hackles. As in, if you have four schools of 16 sponsoring a sport, why do you have a championship at all. :)

Others I have seen award points as such -- using a 10-team conference as an example.

10 teams offer the sport -- champion 10, second place 9, third place 8, etc.
Five teams offer the sport -- champion 10, second place 8, third place 6, etc.

And with ratios as appropriate in between. Don't really have time to do the math right now. :)

Update on the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) World Cup games.

In the U.S. first game they defeated Korea 77-0.

The U.S. next game is on 12 July against Germany.  If they win they will play for the Championship.

Also Sweden defeated France 16-14.  Sweden kicked a 44 yard FG to win the game.

77-0 in a 48-minute game, even more impressive.

Glad to know that Kubiak is blocking punts and intercepting passes against someone other than HSU for a change!   :)

Pat should offer his front page writeup to the people who are hosting the tourney, it's much more impressive than the badly translated article they have there now.   I normally post only links but the article that's there now is short enough for this to be fair use:

Finally, Team USA is on the show as they play their first ever game against Team Korea. Right off the bat, team USA showed their explosive talent with WR Awrey returning Team Koreafs kickoff for a touchdown.

On the defensive side Team USA totally dominates on the scrimmage allowing no first downs with -31yds total yards.

Team USA scored 5 TD on Offense, 2TD on Defense, and 4TD on special teams adding the total point to 77.

Perhaps they'd accept a trade -- my story for a photo. :)

Josh,

Kubiak had big games against teams other than HSU!   ;)  Glad to see he is back to playing after his injury last year.

Those big games against other teams did not hurt Josh as badly as the big games against HSU.

:D ;D :D

I'm anxiously awaiting the HSU-UMHB matchup this year.

Sounds like a McM-UMHB game I attended in Abilene a few years back.   :D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Lessee ... USA-Germany kicks off at 3PM Thursday in Korea which is 1AM CDT if my calculations are correct.  Good luck to Team USA and our D3 representatives!
