Yeah, I hope we don't have to experience that this year.

Bill McCabe

I'm betting on it.  That way I won't be disappointed when it happens. :D

As Bill Parcels said, we may see some churning of the roster – particularly on the defensive side.

I'm pretty sure I heard Z Motion Jr. playing some solid DB on the radio!  ;)

I was in Houston doing my "day" job, Pat!

Because I don't want to lose my bet with roocru, I will behave myself while expressing my thoughts.  But I have to say, this week's Around the South Region column clearly shows that Chris needs to actually watch a bit more DIII football--instead of reading about it and taking in opinions of others--before ranting any more agaisnt a team that he's clearly shown a bias against for two years.

Rick, it's taking all my energy right now to bite my tounge.  I swear you're orchestrating all this on purpose!!!!!!!!!!   :)

Josh,
There must be more than pride on the line for that bet, because you're really behaving so far!

Josh, I plead not only not guilty but actually innocent. The views of Mr. Allman are definitely his own and not mine. I do know and love Chris, but after all, he was a basketball player! If I had a vote, I would have HSU in the top 25 too, at its 20 spot or maybe a little lower. Who you play does matter, especially in D3 where the quality of play varies so widely.

The next few weeks will be very interesting for HSU. Is it just the quality of the competition, or is it time for Cowboy Nation to panic? I tend to think we will find it is somewhere in the middle--not as bad as the (particularly defensive) performances would suggest, but not up to standard HSU quality and results.

We will all see that and much more as conference play continues in full swing again this week.  I hope my HPU Yellow Jackets can win a game(or better yet games) soon.

Also, I admire and appreciate you restraint!!

Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Hang in there, Josh!

I know you can do it!  ;)

As a loyal UMHB fan, I feel the opinion expressed by the UMHB graduate writer was totally unfair to HSU. If we remember back one year, my UMHB team lost to CNU and WW. It just so happen that the games were not back to back so it did not call attention to the D3 voters. (as much)

I believe we will all see a different HSU team this weekend against LC.

As the parent of a Cru player, I know that our players are preparing to execute a game plan against TL and not thinking ahead to any game.

In addition, the Cru players respect the HSU football program and know they will have to show up with their A game to be victorious.

Welcome LACrusaderFan.

Any game reports that you can give us on D3 games in your area will be greatly appreciated.

I hope he can continue that!  Thanks for the mention~

LACrusaderFan, I agree with your assessment of the article or opinion piece.  It was the first time I've read something like that on D3 football.  Hopefully, it will be a one time occurance.  I love the HSU-UMHB game because of the intense rivalry and think it is good for our conference.  Things have gone UMHB's way recently, but the games have been competitive.  Starting off 0-2 is difficult and their game this week will give us a better indication of where they should be ranked.  There are 4 teams undefeated in the WIAC and one of them is not Whitewater.

You may wish to e-mail the writer about this: chris.allman@d3football.com

I think he may read the board, but he's not registered for it, so he may not. If you have objections, please pass them along.

The ASC had a player named to this week's D3football.com Team of the Week:

WR Jake Allen, Sr., Mississippi College

Allen scored three touchdowns within a spam of just over six minutes to give Mississippi College a 28-5 halftime lead over Texas Lutheran. He finished the game with six catches for 141 yards, with his scores being 73, 42, and 25 yards out.

Congratulations!
