Chris how was the crowd at LaGrange?

And don't they have a beautiful campus and baseball field!
Not a bad crowd at all, particularly considering they are a second year program. The baseball facilities are some of the best in DIII.

I really don't know much about the school or how expensive it is, but I would imagine they could get pretty good in a hurry with their location.

quote of the day by LC's Dennis Dunn:

"That football team is the best Division I-AA team we'll see," Wildcats coach Dennis Dunn quipped. "If there's anybody better than them, then they don't belong in Division III."

I made the long trip (for me) to Marshall to watch HSU/ETBU. In my opinion not good for HSU. Feaster decides who is throwing to in the locker room and it takes a near sack to change his mind. That wont cut it against the better the defenses. Plus from what i saw the OC has trust in one maybe 2 receivers. I dont see why, too many drops to be trusting only them.

Quote form the Killeen Daily Herald

Louisiana College coach Dennis Dunn said there wasn't much that his team could do against the Cru.

"We don't have anybody that could have made a difference," he said. "I appreciate them calling off the dogs. They could have scored 100."

It appears that UMHB is on track to go to the Stagg Bowl.

I want to give props to a guy whose team got beat 70-14.  The quarterback for Louisiana College is a young man named Ben McLaughlin.  He's got to be the toughest son of a gun I've seen.  Every time he went back to pass it seemed as though a purple wave just washed over him.    But, the kid hung in there, took the hits, and kept coming back for more.  Hats off to Mr. McLaughlin.

Another great game for the Crusaders, and hats off to all of LC for not giving up.

Also, does not anybody know when the offical regional rankings come out from the NCAA? I doubt it would be anytime soon, but I was just wondering.

Ralph Turner

Cru, the Handbook does not give any dates.

I expect to see them first on the front page of D3football.com and linked to a Daily Dose on a Wednesday.  :)

The latest D3football.com Top 25 is out.

Interesting to watch UMHB's progression in the poll.

Preseason:  515 pts - 4th
Week 1:  545 pts - 4th  (gained 30 pts)
Week 2:  556 pts - 3rd  (gained 11 pts)
Week 3:  572 pts - 2nd (gained 16 pts)
Week 4:  574 pts - 2nd (gained 2 pts)
Week 5:  587 pts - 2nd (gained 13 pts)
Week 6:  594 pts - 2nd (gained 7 pts)
Week 7:  595 pts - 2nd (gained 1 pt)

At this point there are apparently 5 voters who are voting UMHB 3rd, 20 voting them 2nd.  Of course there could be 24 voting second and one voting  sixth, too.

Ralph Turner

+1 Ron!

That is not unreasonable.

The last time UMHB and UWW met, UWW won.

UWW cannot overlook #20 UW-SP this weekend.
