Goat, how many times has an NFL #1 draft pick running back changed a team overnight?  I will appreciate specific instances and how long the turn-around took.  Who else was added with the #1 RB?

I think that every ASC team needs about 10 more linemen of UMHB's calibre.

UMHB's O-line and D-line are the difference in the CRU's success!

And it is not about the play of one player to change a program, its his leadership and motivation of the other players around him, to get them to believe that they are capable of winning.
Are you sure about that Mom?
"his leadership", sounds like you're still talking "I" there but trying to disguise it as for the good of the team.  I'm just amused by your boasting and calling people out by name, but yet you won't even tell CruAlum39 where you went to high school.  ::)

I agree Pat pretty dead, Im sure things will pick up in the next few weeks.... 8)

How about the possibility for UMHB to possibly play Trinity, W&J, Wesley, UW-W, and Mount Union in the playoffs? There have been some great games with each of these teams.

i dont necessarily agree with this statement ralph....i think hsu has some great lineman.  maybe not as deep as umhb, but i believe the first stringers match up pretty close, mostly referring to the offensive line.  just my opinion.  about tlugoat hahahhahahahah even though your pretty goofy and arrogant and well stupid, it makes me laugh.  ralph you ready for the hsu-mcmurry game tomorrow?

Thanks for the response.

I tried to be quite precise in that comment about the linemen.  I think that UMHB's depth and quantity on both sides of the ball make the difference.  HSU has come as close to UMHB as anyone, so your first stringers match nicely.

I think that there is much balance among the skill people in the conference.

The depth in linemen is what gives UMHB the advantage, especially when we get outside the conference.

As for the game tonight, yes, I am ready.   Good luck to both teams and travel safely!  :)

Quality linemen are needed at every level to have a good team.  To be great, you need a lot of them.

I know this is a football, not futbol board but wanted to wish the Hardin-Simmons women's soccer team good fortune today against Emory.  They're out in Atlanta (surprise) and the game should be starting up pretty soon.   HSU beat my Trinity women on PK's earlier this week, 4-2, in the first round.

CRU intercepts the ball at the 20. First play Welch to wide open Oliver for 6 points.  I believe it was a playaction but I may of heard it incorrectly.

7 - 0  CRU after 1:10 in the game.

FYI...

The Cru broadcast doesn't seem to be working  but I got the HPU broadcast working

HSU women lose to Emory today, 1-0, after being outshot 11-1.

What's the deal with UMHB????  ??? ???

It's 42-0 at halftime.  I imagine they are scoring most of their TDs by only running the ball and not passing.  Come on coach.....pass the ball some!!!

MC leads Sul Ross 42-15 at the half.

Adam Shaffer has already passed for 373 yards and four touchdowns.

Just got back from the HPU/UMHB game.  UMHB has a great offense and a great run defense.  Their pass defense wasn't very good.  HPU had a lot of open receivers but just couldn't hit them down the field.  Seems to me when they face a passing team in the playoffs they'll have a lot of problems.

Final score, MC 56-35 over Sul Ross.

Adam Shaffer thows for 482 yards and school record 6 TD's. Three receivers go over 100 yards with Marcus Terry grabbing seven for 206yards. That gives MC two 1,000 yard receivers along with Jake Allen (1,230). I don't have exact numbers right now, but the Choctaws broke most of our single season offensive records including passing yards, total offense and points. The eight wins are the most we've had since the 1997 ASC Championship season.

Good luck to UMHB next week. I think you have the team to make another run if you get the right draw.
