Actually, when I arrived at the game, it was 37 degrees, raining hard and a stiff NNE wind.  With wind chill it was about 32.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I know I shouldn't but if UMHB wins and Wabash was to upset UWW where would the game be played. I know Wabash is a 3 seed in the North and UMHB is a 4 in the South but was wondering what determines the home field for the semi's. Obviously if UWW wins they would be the home team.

I could only hope that the Crusaders were traveling to Wabash next week.  I've been pulling for that since I saw the bracket.  That's 20 minutes down 1-74 from me.

Not counting my chickens quite yet.  Crossing my fingers, though.

Hope you get the chance, Wes.  UMHB is impressive when hitting on all cylinders.

The 2007 Aztec Bowl Roster has been released.

Congratulations to Hardin-Simmons OL James Arnold, Mississippi College WR Jake Allen and  UMHB LB Jerrell Freeman for their selection.  Freeman will only play if UMHB loses to Wesley on Saturday.

Remember that all players selected to play in the Aztec Bowl are seniors.

I would love to see UMHB continue playing UWW and CNU in the regular season, but I noticed that UMHB and Wesley both have two of the same open dates next season. Anybody think that the upcoming battle could become a regular season rivalry?

And here is the link to the UMHB-Wesley game notes by UMHB

For any of you fans traveling to Dover this weekend, Conrad has posted some ideas for your Friday or Saturday night entertainment on the ACFC board. Any other questions we can answer, just ask.

The Stone Station will be in Dover Saturday for the game

Is the 52 man limit for playoff games a D3 or all divisions rule? Obviously D1 has no playoff, but in the National Championship can they only 52 players as well?

Wow,,, Wabash?????  I'm figuring the 'semi-frozen' tundra of UWW

Wow, that would really be something.  I'm still impressed that UMHB is willing to spend the money to fly the team around for regular season games, especially when it means that you can schedule some top talent to play.  I think it'd be interesting to see what would happen if Mount Union wanted to schedule a game requiring flights.  Although, being in the North region, and so close to the East and even South Regions, it's probalby easier for teams up there to schedule good opponents that aren't more than a bus ride away.  As much as I love the OAC, its size just limits the possibility for those non-conference games to just one game.  I'm glad that Mount Union has scheduled SJF for the next two years.  Now we just need them to keep a good quality program so we don't always get accused of scheduling patsies (ie Averett this year)!  I'm hoping we either schedule SJF again for a two year series, or find another program of similar caliber (Ithaca, Wabash, etc.)

I look forward to seeing what UMHB decides to do!

Exactly.  That's the problem UMHB faces... no quality D3 teams within reasonable bus riding distance, except Trinity and they are not going to schedule UMHB anytime soon for a non-conference game, given their recent history against each other.  And all the D2's in Texas play either other D2's or play up against D1-AA (or whatever they're calling that now), so they're definitely not looking for a game against a D3 either.

Anybody know of a way to get audio and video broadcast of UMHB and Wesley?  Audio I can find, but not AV in simultaneous-like fashion.

Toby Taff

I know of no video feed.  I'll be listening on line

Good luck to the Cru tomorrow.  I hope their defense is solid and they can get the running game going.

Good luck Cru!! If the  offense can get there passing game going a little and our Defense will be AGGRESSIVE,  by aggressive i mean in the defensive calls,  I think the CRU will be playing next week... My2 cents..
