May God bless the Walker Family and the entire HSU community as well

even if you hate HSU, you still have to admit, this terrible mishap is not what anyone would wish on another.

That's a pretty callous, backhanded way of passing along condolences, use2b.

Out of respect for the Walker family, I'll refrain from giving you a piece of my mind here.  >:(

excuse me, Josh Bowerman. Perhaps feelings can't be shown through the keyboard. I was refering to those many people who can't stand HSU's success over the years, (there are many), and stating that no one could deny how awful this accident is, and wish the best for the rest of the HSU family. I was not taking this mishap lightly. It is horrible, and a real "wake up" call for anybody to realize how precious life is.

Pat Coleman

I didn't have a problem with the post.

I don't know how many of yall check the Open Dates, but I realized a couple of days ago that UMHB is no longer on the list. I am not totally sure, but just for something to discuss I believe the teams that are also gone from the list as well for Sept 6 are Juniata, Olivet and St. Vincent. For Sept 13, the other teams that are not there anymore are Alfred, North Central and Olivet.

Pat Coleman

Doesn't mean they hooked up with any of those teams. There are other schools who only lurk on the open dates board but don't post. :)

North Central is playing Olivet and Ohio Northern for non-conference games this season, for example. I know Juniata is playing Wilmington.

Yeah I thought it wouldnt be that simple, but I am pretty bored and already ready for next season. Only 225 days left!

By the way I didnt read the article, but I think I saw an article about the miracle Trinity play in the new issue of Texas Football. Did anybody else see it?

My son is a Cru player; they have not been advised who they will play in the open dates yet.

I am sorry to see that it appears that the Hawks and Cru will not continue their home/home series.  Rumor is that Whitewater has inked a deal with Puget Sound in Washington so that would use up a big chunk of the travel budget.  I had heard that UMHB was interested in continuing so kudos to them and it appears that Whitewater chose to go to the West Coast instead.  Thought playing the Cru the last two years was terriffic for both teams and that your fans and players were some of the classiest that I have had the pleasure to meet in D-III.

I'm expecting that after a couple of years UWW and MHB will go home-and-home again.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Actually, I think that it works out better in the long run for those two teams to give a 2-4 year break in the schedule.

Ralph,

UWW playing Puget Sound is a big old break in the schedule.  ;)
