At the AFI Dallas International Film Festival yesterday they were showing a documentary, "Six Man, Texas".  It is about six man high school football in Texas.

I went, but it was sold out. :'( It will be showing again next Saturday afternoon at NorthPark.  I'm going again to try to see it.

One of UMHB's non-conference opponents can now be confirmed as Southern Nazarene University as they posted their schedule online. The Crimson Storm will be coming to Belton for a 6:00 game on September 13th.

yes he did but i dont think this is the place to discuss stuff like that.

Very true. Plus it has nothing to do with the fact that he would be a great addition to the HSU staff. This is not high school.

Whatever.

Why the "whatever" comment?

yeah, you and me both...im just giving you a hard time Mr. Bowerman. good luck to Freeman, and go CRU "all the way this year baby!!!"

I think I've made my point.  I'm tired of discussing it.

Back to football.  What is the situation at QB for UMHB?

This board sure does die during off season. I'd like to see more posts from those in the know at schools around the conference regarding recruiting and such. I'm especially interested in how the holes are being filled in everywhere including HSU. Looking forward to another exciting football season and a good year for the ASC.

Recruiting in D-III is pretty much a secret for those coaches that have found great talent that might be cherry-picked by a D-II or an NAIA school out of Texas Oklahoma or Kansas.

Once a pupil has put down the deposit for the next semester, he has signed.

Can he forfeit the deposit and sign with Tarleton St or Midwestern St?  Yes.

crufootball

That's a great point Mr. Turner, and to add to it at UMHB a person can get their entire deposit back until May 1st.

Ralph,

Good to know sir. That would explain the silence during the offseason I suppose. Guess we will have to save that talk till summer.

Mississippi College hired a new offensive coordinator, Jack Peavey. Will also serve as the offensive line coach.

Camp opens up in about four months. I cant wait.....

Slaughter at HSU - no way.  Freeman was a great LB, playing at the pro level - not real sure.  Recruiting at the d3 level sucks.  The Miss College staff is a good one, good luck to Peavey, he's in good company.  Also good luck to J Neal at HPU.
