I looked at Lindy's while at walmart today and #3 is Bethel.  The top 4 are:
1. Mt Union
2. UW-W
3. Bethel
4. UMHB

There is a statement about daniels keeping up the pace of thrasher.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Pat Coleman

How about Daniels keeping up his own pace? :)

Director's Cup

Congratulations to McMurry for finishing 42nd in the 2007-08 Director's Cup, highest of any ASC school.  McMurry amassed 358 points for the year.

Note that the Directors' Cup scoring & order was revised today, June 19th ...
... SCAC Trinity (TX) moved up from 20th to 13th ... Men's Track.

Now how did that happen? ;)
Trinity Tiger Football ... where champions compete on and off the field.

We stayed at 358 points but moved up a place to 41.

As for Trinity, it must be that Baer kid!  Maybe he can transfer to McMurry.  We need some help in the field events if we are going to defend the title!  ;)

Wow, that is a lot of respect for the UMHB program and great for the conference. They've certainly earned it. They lost eight offensive starters and six on defense. They lost the national defensive player of the year, an all-american running back, a four year starting QB, the ASC's offensive and defensive linemen of the year, and a total of ten All-ASC players.

But I don't think anyone expects them to skip a beat. Looking forward to football season, just a couple months away.

Lindy's isn't exactly known for their in-depth research of DIII football, Chris...   :)

Yeah, I know. But you could probably add St. John's and Linfield to that list, and have a pretty good preseason #1-6 every year until one of them turns in a terrible season.

I know kickoff 09 wont be here for some time, but can we expect anything from D3football.com in terms of rankings or anything?

In Kickoff2008, to be released sometime in last week of August.

We should see banner ads or some notification soon.

Pat Coleman

We'll have our preseason All-Americans and preseason Top 25 before that, in mid-July and early August.

Awesome, D3 news is great from Texas Football and Lindy's but nothing compared to the info in kickoff

Toby Taff

Doing good here.  Just moved, in summer school, and ready for the fall and some football.  This year I'll have UMHB compadres in Abilene as a few more Crusaders are coming for Seminary at HSU.
