Great win for HSU today over our Cats.  Best of luck, see you in the playoffs

Had some video editing issues, I'll try to get it up this evening, and I'll post a link here.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Austin College beats McMurry in 2 overtimes 21-14.

I am sorry, but if McMurry lost to AC, how bad is McM? AC lost to SWAGU. SWAGU got beat by Sul Ross. Will the No Mascots win a game?

Congrats to HSU. The cardiac kids win again.

I am not trying to be funny. It is a legitimate question. SWAGU has won seven games in five years.

And Austin College is much improved from just a year or two ago.  They won't win the SCAC, but they're very competitive with the middle of the SCAC and the middle to lower end of the ASC.

I'd say given the fact that the weather was as crappy as it was today and that McMurry is breaking in a new QB, a double-overtime game indicates that the contest was pretty even.  Nobody is contending that McMurry is going to win the ASC, but you're making it sound like they're completely inept.

They're not, and they'll win 2-3 games this season at a minimum.

SAGU has beaten one DIII team in the last five years and then got handled by Sul Ross. If McMurry is +4 in turnovers they should win. They did not. Tell me who they will beat at this point.

Dam-it,

It might be a legitimate question?   ??? The way it was phrased was very condescending to both teams!  >:(

Thanks Josh.

It was a tough loss.  The McM FG kicker was beside himself.  The field was soaking,  altho' your field attendant has done a good job.  The wind was a cross wind of about 15-20 MPH and the ball was constantly wet with the persistent light drizzle that came in waves.

The last second FG attempt was just wide right.

On the McMurry roster/ traveling squad, there are 15 seniors and 7 juniors.  McMurry is playing lots of freshmen and sophomores.

We have two strata in the ASC.  UMHB is beating teams that have defeated D-II's.  HSU played well today and seem to be in good shape for a possible Pool C bid, if they lose to UMHB.  Everyone else is behind them to a degree.

In 2006, we were two outcomes and a canceled game (remember that one cowboy fans?   ;) ) away from a 7-way tie in the conference for 3rd.

As for whom they may beat, any of six possible foes are good candidates.  This is the ASC.

I think they have strong shots at beating both Sul Ross and Howard Payne, and probably East Texas Baptist and Texas Lutheran, too.

I apologize for the phrasing, but it is fact that SWAGU has not won 20 games in 15 years.

After working on the weekends for almost 3 years......I finally get them off and the game is moved to a week night.... >:( Sounds like UMHB played well. I'm sure they let alot of young guys play as well. Due to a truck show looks like I won't be able to attend a game until HSU that sucks.....

TLU took an early loss.....I wonder how TLU goat is doing....is he still around or was his mingling on the forums cut short.
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

I guess you are apologizing for your first post on this matter as well?  That is the one that started you down this condescending path.

Picked up a Whitworth media guide yesterday and saw that next year's shedule has the Pirates returning to a 10 game schedule.  The Pirates will open at Hardin-Simmons.

Maybe they can borrow tape  ;)
